I first went to Sierra Vista when I was nine years old, and I had gone to both this camp and another and I was given a choice. After spending a week at the first camp and two at Vista, I did not hesitate for a second to choose Vista. SV is my second home and it has changed me so much as a person, and every year I miss it more and more. This summer will be my seventh and second-to-last year, and over the past 6 years I have made some of the best friends I will ever have. The bond the girls share is extremely tight and Vista really gives us a sense of family love. It's a beautiful place and I can't put my love for it into words. The facilities, the grounds, and the overall atmosphere are all exceptional! (Side note, the food is also amazing...)The counselors, staff, and faculty all treat the campers like family, and with about a 4 to 1 camper-counselor ratio, no one feels left out. Most of all, SV has shaped my life in so many ways. I definitely recommend it, because it's life-changing.

All three of my daughters have gone here for many years. I believe it to be supurbly run by the Hawkins family. Oftentimes, the counselors are former campers, which says a lot right their. Their is some contact with the boys camp but not too much...a perfect blend. It has Christian based values--the food is FAB...all in all WONDERFUL! I highly recommend it!

This summer will be my 7th (and last year) at Sierra Vista, or as we call it, SV. I can honestly say that this camp has been the highlight of my summer every year. The staff are friendly and the counselors are usually college-age, which helps because it makes it easier for us campers to relate to them. The cabins are very nice, albeit they don't have air conditioning, however they have fans and are quite cool because they are made of stone. Campers are also encouraged to bring personal fans. There is such a variety of activities here from Archery to Horseback to Fencing! In fact, I discovered my passion for Archery here! There is just the perfect amount of counselors also! Going to Camp Sierra Vista has helped me become much more confident (I used to be very shy) and sure of myself. Through leadership positions in our tribe (the girls are placed in 1 of 2 tribes their 1st year) I have learned how to be responsible and other social skills. If you have the chance, send your girl to SV!

My daughters love Sierra Vista. The can't wait for summer to get here each year. The staff is energetic and helpful. Everyone is very genuine and makes you feel welcome. The facilities are absolutely gorgeous! Very nice cabins, manicured grounds, beautiful riverfront, private and impressive. My girls say the activity choices are great and they spend the whole trip to camp planning what activities they are going to take. As for the value...Sierra Vista is worth the price. For what my girls have gotten from their experiences there, I could never put a value on that. It is their summer home and everyone there is like a second family. I would highly recommend this camp to everyone.
