Please do not send your child on a teen tour with Rein. Even two years after my teen tour, I still feel scarred from my experience. Every teenager on the tour was cruel. The counselors were not great either. The other campers tried to forget me at one of the hotels we stayed at and the counselors didn't notice. I had to run outside just before they drove away without me. No one would talk to me or sit with me on the bus. They didn't even want to room with me, and the counselors did nothing. I did nothing to deserve this. I was kind to everyone no matter how horrible they were to me. I just didn't fit in. Most of the people on the tour were rich, white, and unaware of their privilege. They were unkind to the counselors and to waiters and people who ran the activities. From what I've heard from others who've been on Rein teen tours, the campers on almost every teen tour are like this. I would strongly recommend choosing another company.

My daughters had the most amazing summers with Rein Teen Tours! The first summer, one of them signed up for Western. Adventure and absolutely loved it! She loved it so much that she returned the following summer ,with her sister, on the Hawaii community service tour. Both experiences were incredible! The trips and excursions were so fantastic, we'll thought out and so organized! Not only were the trips amazing, but the staff were so professional, caring, and fun! I felt the supervision was exceptional and my kids were in good hands. My children made lasting memories and friendships that will last a lifetime! I would highly recommend Rein Teen Tours for an incredible summer experience!!!

My daughter Roni had two amazing summers with Rein Teen Tours. The Rein organization is professional, communicative, and very well organized. The leadership left us feeling 100% sure that our daughter would have a blast and be completely safe at the same time. Roni thoroughly enjoyed Western Adventure her first summer and then Hawaii/Alaska even more. I highly recommend Rein.

My son had the best two summers of his life. So excited my other son is going on a Rein Teen Tour this summer. So well organized and planned. Top notch counselors.

I sent my daughter away on the Community service program to Hawaii. It was her first time truelly away from home. I wanted her to experience space from home prior to setting off to college. She had some lows with missing home, stepping on a sea urchin, but the highs out numbered the lows in the end. When she returned home she informed me she planned on going again. The second year, she did another community service program in Costa Rica. She loved the orphanage and she made some terrific friends, whom she is still in touch with. Her desire to travel has been ignited. This year she was a freshman in college and had the opportunity to go abroad to Australia for fall semester. Never in a million years would I see her accomplishing this if she hadn't had the Rein experience. There were a few times she struggled with things but the staff was there supervising. As a parent I always knew I had contact with the main office and felt that they were available. Thank you Rein!

My daughter went on the Rein Western Adventure last summer and had the TIME OF HER LIFE. The Staff was great, activities non-stop, and accommodations first rate. The tour was everything Rein promised and much more! You would be hard pressed to find a better value and more fun. Rein Teen Tours has set the bar high on all counts. Way to go Norman & Karen.

I'd suggest not sending your child on a Rein program.
Some of the camp sites we stayed in were so gross that I opted to pee on the highway so that I didn't have to use the nauseating bathroom provided by the campgrounds.
One camper was so desperate for attention started to throw spit balls at the head of the staff. The staff member walked over to the boy, reached down & gave him the most intense wedgie I have ever seen. This adult ripped the underwear off of this kid. This boy laughed.Partly because he was thankful that someone recognized him enough to interact with him. Partly because he was embarrassed. But mostly because the staff member had taken advantage of the fact that this kid didn't understand that attention is not necessarily good attention.I'd have been humiliated had this happened to me.Not only did it look remarkably uncomfortable but being the joke among other campers because you have been disrespected by a figure of authority if far from funny.

I had the BEST summer of my life on Western Adventure 3. After 7 years of camp, I honestly didn't think that my summer could top camp, but it was equal. I made amazing friendships that i'll never ever forget and we talk to each other every day. I totally recommend this to anyone and everyone! The counselors are young but responsible and you become really close with them as well. The bus rides were long but that's really when we bonded most or caught up on sleep. Everywhere we went was incredible and I would go back in a heartbeat!!

When I sent my daughter last year, I was worried that she was an immature 14 year old and lacked the social skills to adapt to meeting all new people and being away from home for so long. Well, not only did she make a bunch of friends, all of whom she stays in touch with, but she says that the tour she took with Rein was a life-changing experience. I m so grateful that she got to travel, meet all these friends and remain safe and secure. She returned more confident, more mature and with great travel stories that she enthusiastically tells anyone who will listen. We're going to skip this summer but rejoin Rein next summer which is after her 16th birthday. She wants to do another tour or perhaps some community service.

I just came back from the California Caper and I had the best summer of my life without question. The places we visited were amazing and they always had something for us to do so we wouldnt get bored. The hotels we stayed at were always nice and had lots of things to do at them. Although the first 6 nights were camping it was still fun because you got to hang out with 6 of your friends all in one room. The tents were a lot nicer than your average tent and they also provided a bed to sleep on in them. The staff was great other than this one councelor named Charlie Curran who would wrestle us to the extent that it would hurt if he was not on the trip the rating for the staff would have been significantly higher. But the leader of the group Lauren Shatkin was amazing and always knew how to handle any situation that was thrown her way. Rein Teen Tours provided me with the best summer of my life and I am looking forward to doing a new one next year with some of the new close friends I made

As a former staff member with Rein Teen Tours, I can confidently say that I would not sent my child on any trip. First and foremost, I don't there there is a commitment from the staff or the home office to keep the campers safe. There were many times when I was the only staff member watching 30+ children a pool or ocean that didn't have a lifeguard on dusty. I made it clear to my boss that in the event that something happened, I was ill equipped to help a struggling swimmer. My boss didn't seem to care. Children purchased drugs without any consequences from the Rein. The food preparation is far from sanitary: the mayonnaise wasn't refrigerated, my cook felt fine using expired milk, etc. If your child is a vegetarian, then he or she will go an entire summer without any protein. I was most disgusted by how the rest of the staff would share inappropriate stories with the campers: stories about hooking up with girls, crazy nights in college, and graphic details about sex.

You have to go on Rein Teen Tours!! This year, I did the western adventure which is where you go all over the west coast. From Denver, to Cali to Vegas to Arizona and more!! I had the most amazing time and made the most amazing friends. The hotels are beyond luxury and you literally feel like you are on a family vacation. The staff was absolutely amazing. The reason why I rated the staff a 3 is because there was one councilor in particular, Charlie Curran. He ruined my friends summer. He was so inappropriate and told me I reminded him of his girlfriend (who he always inappropriately spoke about). On my friends birthday, there was so much drama. He gave me his phone to play with and I saw that he was texting about her behind her back. He picked on her for no apparent reason and it got to the point where the tour director got involved. I really hope he does not go back. He would wrestle with the kids to the point where it was dangerous. Besides that, Rein is the most amazing experience!!

Kids at camp are supposed to be enjoying sightseeing, enlightening new activities with a helpful and mature staff. This camp is well short of the expectations. Many activities consisted of bowling and arcade games that any person could do at home. The campers visited Salk Lake City, didn't even see the salt lake (or anything around the city), and spent most of the time pitching tents in a fenced in trailer park. Dining out often consisted of fast food places like "In-N-Out Burger" and McDonalds. As for the staff, one of the campers needed hospitalization from a leg injury and the staff stole syringes from the hospital, filled them with water, and shot campers in the face with water to prevent them from sleeping on the night of departure because they didn't want to have to wake them up. The facilities were clean and decent for the most part and there were some enjoyable hikes and trips, but that did not outweigh the negative, nor was it worth the outrageous $5,600 we paid to go.

I can't even begin to explain my amazing summer on Rein Teen Tours. This tour was the best experience I've ever had. I went to camp for 3 years, and camp was nothing compared to this tour. The camping was suprisingly really fun and I loved traveling and staying at hotels. We saw beautiful sights and went to amusement parks. We could relate to the conselours and they were always there for us. The best thing about this tour was the friends I made. I came knowing no one but I met some of the best friends of my life. Everyone is very friendly and nice. When we went camping, the tents were very large and we all slept on cots instead of on the ground. They brought us fresh food and we had a lot of fun with our friends. We also stayed out some of the nicest hotels in different cities. I will never regret coming here because it was just amazing, fun, beautiful, and memorable. I guantee that anyone else will love this tour too.

never have i ever had a better summer in my life. after going for 5 years to camp, i needed a break...and rein crossroads was exactly what i was looking for. we went to amazing places and the people were so nice. but besides that specific tour, rein allows you to chose many different places to tour, and different lengths. Some include camping, and others don't. but all hotels are exceptional. Now going back to camping...before i went on this tour i wondered was i regretting it because of the camping. well actually the camping turned out to be one of my favorite parts of the tour. it was luxury camping though. the tents were huge and everyone got a cot. rein teen tours was the summer of a lifetime and if you plan on doing a tour, you won't regret it. i really don't know one person from my tour who said they didn't enjoy it. honestly, i wish i could rewind and do it all over again.

The BEST SUMMER EVER. I can not stress more to send your child on the Crossroads teen tour. It's hotels and camping, for 40 days, cross country. I went on it in 2007 and had the time of my life. My director was amazing and the counselors are so chill. I made so many friends from this experience. Everyone was so nice and I couldn't ask for anything more. The activities were unforgettable. When you see 60 people crying on the last night before they leave, it says something about the memories made during the trip. It's also great because it is the middle of the road teen tour. Even though it is the longest, it is about half camping and half hotels. I never went camping before last summer and I ended up liking that better than staying in hotels. It gives you so many chances to interact with other people and make perpetual memories. The kids are not spoiled or mean at all which is great in a teen tour. Everything is amazing. DO NOT HAVE ANY SECOND THOUGHTS! Send your child next summer!

An awesome traveling experience. The places were awesome, and there were a lot of kids to make friends with. Granted, the camping in tents wasn't great, but it was a cool experience and staying in the Venetian in Vegas was just plain sweet. The staff was nice, not perfect, but met with the kids needs. They enjoyed it as much as we did as a matter of fact.

I thought the places we traveled to were excellent. However, the counselors were deplorable, as were about half of the campers.
