I love this camp. I was surprised by some of the reviews, and find them hard to believe. This is a camp for ages 9-16, so yes, sometimes they are protective and the activities are a bit young. But they want to include everyone. I have been going here since I was 10 and this summer will be my last year. The staff work hard to make sure everyone feels included. The dorm rooms are a bit old, but the barn is great. I am hoping to return when i am old enough to work here. Great camp.

My experience at BCRC was overall negative. I was stuck with a roommate who broke a major camp rule. When I notified the staff, they listened initially, but ultimately did nothing to solve the problem. The director seemed like she hated her job, and acted nastily towards me. The counselors didn't seem to look out for the campers' best interests, and definitely played favorites. They also did little to fix the situation that I was faced with, that definitely needed attention. The overall attitude of the majority of the campers was snobby. While the facilities were immaculate, many of the riding instructors didn't seem to know what they were doing. I don't feel that I progressed in any way at this camp. Don't send your kid here. There are much better riding camps available that are enjoyable and positive. I can say that this experience almost made me leave early. The biggest waste of $2,500 possible.

I didn't like this camp. For a 16 year old it is really babyish. The activities are really boring and it is hard to relate to some of the girls at the camp. The rooms are disgusting and old. They always watch you and you can't do anything without telling them. The food looks disgusting and tastes horrible. It is community showers. They take away your cellphones and give them back to you at certain times. They took anyway everybody's freetime away and made everyone go to the pool. I think the camp is great for a 9 year old not for a 16 year old. I would reccomend it if your daughter is 12 and under.

Great camp! The girls make great friendships and have a wonderful time with all of the amazing horses they have.

Great instruction, beautiful campus, safe & diverse horses. I loved the staff and am definitely sending my daughter another year!
