6/12/12   3     1     4     2     3   The activities are really fun and I loved the area. i was 11 when I went and got kind of home sick. My counselor was great and comforted me.Everything was pretty good except for the facilities. UGH! The cabins were ok, but the BATHROOMS!!!! HORRIBLE!!! There was mud and moths everywhere, no toilet paper, and half of the toilets weren't even connected to plumbing! THey were supposed to be too. I'm not the picky 5 star type, but the bathrooms put the whole experience off for me. RID: 41289
Click to report rating    6/4/12   5     5     5     5     5   I was a camper at Camp Daggett for 6 years and will be woring up there for my second year. I do not live in Michigan anymore, but still feel like Daggett is my true home. The Camp provides wonderful activities such as sailing, swimming, and canoeing beautiful Walloon Lake and Land activities such as Arts and Crafts, Recreation (Sports), and Nature program with exotic and local wild animals. Also the highlight of my time there was the awesome adventure program for the three oldest cabins. This includes awesome activities such as team building challenges, a low ropes course, and a high ropes rock climbing wall. During your week at camp your cabin will go on a campout to one of six diffrent locations depending on your cabin age. You will be able to either hike or canoe to theses awesome locations and spend the night there. The camp also gve the children lots of freetime to participate in there favorite activities they've experienced during there time. Cont. RID: 41193
Click to report rating    7/3/10   4     3     3     4     3   This camp was fun and you can meet many friends. However they do not have many special activities except for the initiation. Honestly, other camps out there have much more to offer. $300 dollars is a good price and you can still have fun with it. But for other camps its usually over 1K and offer much more like paintball and ATV's. But this camp is traditional so it makes sense. But if you enjoy this camp then you will enjoy others as well, unless you like traditional. RID: 33232
Click to report rating    1/5/09   2     3     4     3     2   Activities as a camper were fun, but there is too much inbred drama between all of the staff, carried out in front of their campers. The administrative group makes a strong effort to hire local people who really need a place to stay, condusive to some low class brutish leaders. Also, for those out of the county it is very expensive and the waiting list is extremely long. Very nice rustic "camp" feel, Walloon Lake is beautiful, but some finer aspects should be under consideration. RID: 28431

Click to report rating    5/14/07   5     4     5     5     4   I was a camper at daggett for 8 years and I worked there last summer. It's like my second home. I think your life isn't complete with out going there. However I am from down state and from an upper class family so I was not rehired. They tend to hire back kids from the area from lower class families because its owned by the county and it makes them look good. Highly recomended though! RID: 10815
