First of all, the staff are very nice. They care about you and are very funny. The facilities are kind of old, and dirty, There are bugs everywhere, but what do you expect, its a camp!!! The activities there are amazing. There is boating, archery, dodgeball, etc. They give you so much attention!!! The food there is awesome! The chefs are so good! I would recommend this camp to everyone!

My kids absolutely love this place. They actually seemed depressed on the car ride home from leaving camp. They met so many new friends, talked non stop about, all the activities. It might not be as fancy as some camps for the truly spoiled, but if you need a true camp experience go to camp downer.

As a prior counselor and current camper parent, I can say Downer has an incredible location with plenty of space and activities to simply be a kid without interference from the outside world. It is rustic and steeped in traditions passed down through the years. Friendships created here are often times lifelong.

My son went last year and had a blast. He said it was the most fun he has ever had at a camp. This year he begged us to sign him up for the 2 week session, so we did. This is a great camp. The staff are friendly, the activities are great and best of all it is affordable.

I love this camp! I have been going since i was seven and i always fall in love with it. I've met so many people and have always had an AMAZING time here! this camp is the bomb! if you want to go to summer camp definitly come here!

Camp Downer is the best!!! My 2 boys went there for the first time in 2010... they have gone to other camps and this one is the best (other camps you know who you are) We loved everthing about this camp... the cabins, the food, the councilors and the activities. We cant wait for anouther year at camp Downer!!!

CAMP DOWNER ROCKS!! everybody is so nice. it was my third year in lakeside and it was the best time ever! Im definately going back next year. and a pro about the camp is that there are hot counselors! ooolala

Downer is the best camp i ever made! I am from canada and I speak French and a bit English. This camp helped me a lot and now I have many anglophone friends.This was my first year and now I want to go back next year!!!if it is your first time and you are still hesitating, well don't because you will have so much fun.

I am rating based on my kids experience there. Oldest daughter just got back from her 3rd year of going there. Loves it! She has been to Camp Wapanacki in Hardwick prior to this and this camp is so much more enjoyable for her. It is also a much more enjoyable experience as a parent dropping your child off for a week. The staff are super friendly and helpful. Youngest daughter is going there the last week in July, that will be her 2nd year....and she also loved it last year. Only wish that the two week sessions didn't fill up so quickly. Hopefully next year we can get into that session. Keep up the good work! (also ex-camper from 1972) :)

The girl who just gave Downer all ones probably has no friends and hates life. Her comments about downer are such a lie. Downer rules!! It's the best camp I have ever been to. I can't wait to go back this summer!

well Camp Downer is the best camp I have ever been to. One summer (my first summer there) I had 5 other summer camps booked, and this one stood out tremendously. the staff makes the camp the way it is, and i am sad to see some go every year.

Camp Downer was an interesting experience for me because I had never been to sleepover camp before. I loved the pool, the counselors were very nice and helpfull.I made Friends I will never forget! It over all was a nice experience!!
