My very best friend and I hang out a lot, we might have some family dinners together, and we have a lot of sleepovers! The field trips are so much fun! We even go to six flags great adventure, and we get to go on kingda ka! The counselors give us a lot of attention, and they never leave us out of their sight! If we get upset, they come and talk to us to see what’s wrong, and to see if they can make it better. If we get hurt, they send us to the nurse to get us an ice pack, bandaid, etc. This really is a great camp, and I’m definitely coming back next year! RID: 53175

Click to report rating    1/11/12   5     5     5     5     5   Camp By The Sea is truly our family's home away from home. The counselors are incredible - they get into all of the activities & make the program truly come alive with excitement & fun. They run trips every week to the beach & amusment parks - when not on trips, kids get swim lessons, free swim, art, music, drama, sports, Israel Culture, etc. They have a spectacular nature room with lots of live animals - my kids love it. We participated in their specialty camps last summer - good stuff. As a parent, I truly felt that safety was ALWAYS the number one priority - which is extremely important to us. My children count the days until June when we return to the JCC! Highly recommend RID: 37691

Click to report rating    1/7/11   5     5     5     5     5   Incredible camp - great programs, customer service and the staff went above & beyond. Every day was something new and exciting - my kids couldn't wait to get on the bus every day. Director, Nurse and Counselors were top notch - highly recommend! RID: 34723
Click to report rating    12/17/10   4     5     4     4     4   My kids have been going there for a few years, and they love, love, love it. While I think some of the activities are kind of lame (they let the older kids stay in and play video games)the kids have a blast. The only things I can really pick at are the staff. It's really hit or miss. Sometimes you get the best counselors and sometimes you get awful counselors. The counselor:camper ratio is really high, so you should be confident that someone is watching your kids. Unfortunately, that's not always the case. The camp is a meat market for the counselors, so they don't watch the 6+ kids. Also, last summer, my child's counselors were so self-absorbed and non-interactive that I only knew the names of 1 out of 4 of them, and couldn't pick them out of a crowd--and my kid was there for 8 weeks. Other parents felt the same way. As for activities they are great in theory, their execution is lacking. Beach trips are an hour, and surf lessons are wait around for your one turn among 20+ kids. Click to report rating    7/2/08   4     5     5     3     5   I had lots of doubt coming here last year, but by the end of the Summer i realized I had some of the best times of my life. The JCC is really beautiful and a great (and well-maintained) facility. The staff are good, but they do play favorites. If you aren't a very "social" person, you won't get much attention from them, which is okay because you be making friends on your own. Also, on most of the trips, you don't have much supervision, but you are still required to stay in groups, which may soud chaotic but is actually really fun and organized. We go on some great trips throughout the year, and for the most part, the kids are really nice, down-to-earth people. I realize that for a day camp it's pretty expensive, but I deffinatally think it's worth it! Have a great Summer! RID: 24516

5/6/08   3     5     4     3     5   I started going to camp when I was six years old and I had a BLAST!! Although now that I am older, I realized that the director does not care for any group but the 5-11 year olds. For instance, he made us go to the beach and then the boardwalk on the hottest day of summer, while the younger kids swam in the indoor pool! I picked the rating for counselors a 3 because some of the counselors just sit around and do their nails. Facilities: 5, The JCC is really cool and beautiful. Personal Attention:3 because the counselors play favorites. If you are not "cool" the counselors will not even look at you. Monetary Value: 5 because its worth the money for the trips, the fun, and the friends. My reccomendation is if your child(ren) are/is between the ages of 5 and 11, send them to this camp. RID: 22989

I HIGHLY recommend this camp! Go there... you won't regret it. RID: 14890
