The Kretinga Board,
I would like to bring to your attention the following concerns regarding the recent events at Lithuanian Speaking Camp Kretinga at Wasaga Beach this week.
Simon Kesminas was registered for 2 weeks, but left camp early on day 4, July 21 22.
As parents, we felt this was the best solution given Simon complained about being bullied by a member of his cabin, 15 y old boy named Nauris.
On Sunday July 17 we dropped off Simon at the camp and Simon and his friend Matas were the only two boys assigned to cabin 4. Staff moved them both to the cabin with older boys Nauris and Rafael the same day.
One way or the other Simon threw a ball and hit Nauris in the back, which Nauris took personally and went on a revenge by slapping Simon in the head hard enough for him to fall down and then pushing his face into the sand, and hitting him some more. He did it out of sight, but Matas was there and saw what happened.

I love this camp so much and I have been going he since FOREVER. The only problem is the counselors don't pay enough attention to us during the day and some of the activities are boring. Maybe something different would be nice. The Camp T-Shirts were awesome before we got different ones. I liked the ones with Kretinga written on it with the cross. Alot of people are excited to see what the colour the T-Shirt is. I love this camp so much and I will never want to leave no matter what. The people are great. If we had more free time maybe we could get to know them better. As well as going to the beach every day kinda get tiring. Maybe staying back once and once again do something different.
