I threw up about ten times at this camp, and the staff just blamed it on altitude sickness. I already lived in a pretty high climate, so CCO wasn't much higher than I've already lived. The staff were very hesitant to take me to the nurses office and when I got there, they only gave me gatorade and crackers. My sickness eventually spread to the whole cabin, and I was the only one sent to the nurse's.

i love cco! its an amazing place an dis so benficial for everyone who enters camp grounds. even if you only go for a week, it leaves a huge positive impact on you. after my camp session last year i hugged my counselor and almost cried. the facilities are good, the cabins are nice and quiet, and the staff is always there for you! they do have some religious beleifs, but deffinetely not pushing you to be their religion. i stay in touch with all my friends and love everyone here!

My girls both love this camp. It is back to basics, which is why it is so charming. The camp is over 100 years old and the kids engage in down-to-Earth fun, including backpacking, canoeing, doing the ropes course, and playing Capture the Flag, to name a few activities. Our oldest daughter attended for 10 years and our youngest has gone for the last six years. They both have been positively influenced by what they call,"Camp Magic" which is a combination of fun, fitness, and a giant group hug. They've learned to respect nature and to love Colorado and themselves based on natural beauty. In terms of character development, this is money well spent.

The grounds and sleeping accommodations are standard average-to-low quality summer camp fare--you get what you pay for. I hear they've had multiple incidents of the same illness the cruise ships get from tainted food. This does not surprise me. The activities were also humdrum, nothing very creative or new as far as camps go. Kids were bored, standing around much of the time. Of particular concern to us was that this "nondenominational" camp encourages their staff to force their religion on the children. This is a YMCA, not Jesus Camp. Not all the kids in my kids' cabins were of the same faith, but they should have been given equal consideration. Instead, peer pressure operates heavily here. The mentality of "you are either with us or against us" doesn't sit well with me, that's not the unconditional love my children have been taught to have for the people of this planet. The camp operated like a giant clique where meanness and scapegoating were used to "keep kids in line." Disgusting!

This camp is wonderful! The staff is attentive and made me feel at home. The facilities seemed to get a bad rap just because they are very simple. The activities were kind if boring because there was a lot of waiting around. Once we got stared they were fun.

This is my second year going to CCO they really took care of us, if someone got hurt or didn't feel good the staff would be there . Their activities are fun,but always doing something like hiking, archery, camping and my favorite all-camp capture the flag. Their food is good, if is on a diet the staff have diferent meals.

CCO is the highlight of my summer!!! It's so fun and this year will be my sixth year and every time it just gets more fun. The staff is helpful, very creative, and SO FUN! The dining hall provides delicious food and have options if you don't like something. You are very welcomed and in a matter of my first three hours, i felt as though I had known the girls in my cabin my entire life. I still keep in touch with everyone from the past 3 summers and this past summer we have made contact as a group A LOT. The activities are amazing and it's fun to try new things. Overall, the camp out is my favorite <3

This next summer will be my fourth year and I've loved every year more than the last! It has become such a huge part of my life and I can't imagine not being able to return. The staff does such a great job of making every camper feel like they're accepted within the cabin. The facilities, while simple, are great. CCO offers a wide amount of activities and everyone finds something to do that they absolutely love. As far as money goes, it's pricey but worth every penny.

I've been going to CCO for 7 years now and it's become an addiction almost. The staff make memories sat a lifetime and you meet people that you have relationships for the rest of your life. The food is fantastic and you don't starve. Each week is themed and CCO truly captures the pure essence of a true Rocky Mountain summer!

Its true that the staff is nice, but this was the WORST WEEK OF MY LIFE. Terrible food, boring activities, most of the kids were rich brats.
