This program was not as advertised. My daughter went to the Game Design camp at Boston College Newton, MA campus. It's supposed to be for 15-18 year olds so I thought it would be a good pre-college experience for my daughter to experience college life and find out if she wanted to pursue a career in game design. She actually had less freedom than at her traditional sleepaway camp, which she attended for 6 years. They were at the BC Law School campus which was a ghost town - nobody there but the campers. They weren't allowed to use the facilities at the main campus 1 mile down the road, so no swimming or sports. The "daily recreation" program consisted of going outside for 15 minutes and being told to "get some sun." They couldn't even walk from one building to the other without being escorted by a counselor. The dorms had no AC and the food was crap - plain grilled chicken for lunch or dinner every day. Maybe other campuses are better run, but I would avoid the BC camp.

This camp has a record of bullying incidents in 2016 at their Boston College campus. If you don't want your kid to be bullied and harassed by fellow campers, all while camp staff looks the other way, don't send them here. It's a poorly run camp with minimal actual computer learning happening. There is very little adult supervision and college age staff is poorly trained. Boston College, yes, but it's a satellite campus, not their main campus - dorm rooms did not have AC in the middle of August, so campers slept with open doors and no privacy!

I love this camp! The activities are a lot of fun and if you don't like the one you choose, you can always switch. This camp also teaches great skills if you want a job with computers. I made great friends here and often spend the time I am not at camp, wishing I was. Sadly, the staff at camp is like most places. You have the good and the not as good; some of the staff is really great and I really connected with them. They know their stuff and are eager to help. However, not everything can be perfect and some of the staff aren't the best. They know what they're doing but are harder to connect with. I thoroughly loved my summer here at Emagination and will continue to go every summer.

Our son really enjoyed the new friends he made, and said the counselors were quite good. But, two things stood out that were not so good. First of all, if getting medications on time, and having a nurse present at all times is important, I would suggest finding another camp. Also, there was only one set of pictures posted on Facebook, although we were told there would be an update every day by 12 - 1 pm. Camp was ok, but not one we will attend again.
