Click to report rating    7/24/13   5     5     5     5     5   My 8-year-old grandson, visiting from out-of-state, attended a session of the summer theater camp. Although he did not know anyone from the area, the staff made him feel at home and he had an "AWESOME" experience. RID: 45336
Click to report rating    11/30/09   5     5     5     5     5   I loved KJK! I went there for 4 years without any theater training, and I feel like it really created a solid theater background for me so that I felt comfortable moving onto mainstage productions. It teaches all the basics, and without it, I don't think I ever would have gotten into theater! RID: 31649
Click to report rating    8/18/09   3     5     3     2     1   Both of my daughters, as well as their friend, were very disappointed with this camp. They are not Broadway stars, but did prepare 2 weeks in advance for the tryouts. You can imagine their sadness when they received 3 lines each to perform in a 2-hour long production. When they asked for more lines, they were given 2 more. A camp should be a fun and integral experience for everyone. The handful of major roles could have been broken up among the 40+ kids to provide an opportunity for others to be more involved. The 2 lead boy roles had almost 100 lines each, and my daughters would have been very happy to put on a baseball cap and play a boy role. Also disappointing in a camp for young people is that parents never got to meet any of the staff or have orientation. We were given a cell phone number to call for emergencies only. The camp owner never asked us for comments, feedback, or if our children enjoyed their experience. It is unfortunate that I cannot not recommend this camp. RID: 30771
Click to report rating    3/18/08   5     5     5     4     5   This camp is great. I used to go there but not anymore. You work on your dancing, singing, and acting skills. All the games and activities keep you very active. You meet many new people and make many friends. RID: 21468
Click to report rating    1/11/08   5     5     5     5     5   KJK is amazing!!! I've went there for 10 years and worked there for more!! The staff is amazing. Camp is alot of fun. You work on a huge musical that you get to perform in (usually it's a Broadway classic). Not to mention you learn a lot about the theatre, all of the stage lingo, props, costumes, makeup, sets, backdrops and music. Many games that the camp plays are really fun and kids love, also incorporate learning stuff about the theatre. If your child loves to perform and wants to learn more about the dramatic arts, this camp is the one. RID: 18843
Click to report rating    6/14/07   4     5     5     4     5   Very Fun, but need to go to the choreographers dance studio on your own time to get a good part in a musical, unless your part doesn't dance, but otherwise a great camp, with lots to do, and improv games are loads of fun! RID: 12011
