Our hope was that our son would go into this adventure with an open mind, take on new challenges, learn to think more independently, learn to work with a group he does not know, immerse in a new culture, and discover something new about himself. Your program hit it out of the park! The leaders were top notch, the community service meaningful and real, and the adventures unique. He learned a lot about himself and made some lifelong friends.

I went to France this summer and had an awesome time. The group leaders were super nice and were really there for you. Putney really helped with my french language. I made memories that will last forever!

I went on the 2013 Spain language learning trip. This trip was everything I wished for and more. I made friendships that will last me a life time and I experienced things that I would never dream of doing. It opened me up to trying new foods, activities, and I feel as though I am a new person. I became so close with everyone, including my group leaders and I am so grateful. Coming into the trip my Spanish was not that great. I was having a hard time in my Spanish class. After the trip, I moved into the honors course at my school. I had the time of my life on this trip, and I thanks Putney

My daughter did the Language Learning program in Spain last summer, and it was the best 5 weeks of her life. She loved the other kids, the leaders, the itinerary, and Spain! She would do it again in a heartbeat.

I know that I truly changed while in Rwanda, and I am eternally grateful for having gone. This was a truly special and amazing experience and I know that nothing will ever be like this again. The friendships I made, experiences we had, and challenges we overcame will be with me forever.

I did the program at Amherst College for 3 weeks, and it was by far the best 3 weeks of my life. The program provided the best introduction to college. I was granted a lot of freedom (such as a late curfew, loose schedules, and many options) but I always felt safe and taken care of. The staff was wonderful and took great care of us. A few students got sick and needed to go to the doctor/hospital, and the staff took the most amazing care of them. It was as though they were their own children. The dorms were the newest on campus and were lovely, except for the lack of air conditioning in the hot Massachusetts summer. The classes were well planned and their was always a variety of free time activities. The friendships I made were the best I could have imagined. It may be a lot of money, but I don't know anyone who did not love their 3 weeks there. I would do it again if I could.

I am looking this summer for camps. I attended Putney Costa rica last year. I enjoyed the kids but not a positive experience with the counselors and way over priced. Would definitely not recommend.

I attended last summer. I went to Costa Rica. The accommodations are primitive. There is no hot water and you sleep on the floor in a sleeping bag. That did get old. I think it was definitely overpriced, but I enjoyed the experience and the trips out of town were interesting. Not sure it was worth the money, but I did improve my Spanish skills.

Incredible program!! I would go back in a heartbeat. I went to africa a couple of years ago, and I came back a changed person. The trip allowed me to reevaluate my priorities and I am a happier better person for it. This is a top notch program. It is safe and definitely worth the money. Putney was the best experience I have ever had.

We were very disapointed in this organization. Our daughter particapated in a languge immersion/community service trip. She was not accpeted luxury accomodations, but there was no hot water and she came home with buy bits all over her body. She also said the counslers picked on some of kids whoese language skills were not as good and she did not feel they were fair. Overall she said it was a close group, but she would choose another program if she were to try another language immersion expereince.
