I have two daughters who have attended Illahee for a month each summer for 5 years. They have very different personalities (one sporty, one not, etc), but both love it. The directors and staff demand an inclusive environment so it is very positive.

Camp Illahee is a top notch program! Fun activities with a well-trained and caring staff. It truly is an environment for girls to develop and flourish. I highly recommend Illahee!

Our daughter has attended this camp for 4 years now and absolutely loves it. She has made great friends while there and looks forward to each Summer. The camp has a good mix of activities, from sports to drama to swimming to caring for horses. As with any of these camps, there are certainly the rich, private school girls who attend, but we know plenty of middle-class, public school girls (like our daughter) who attend as well. Great all-around camp with caring and supportive staff.

I went to Illahee at age 9 a was bullied by almost all the girls in my cabin, I felt awful the whole time and nobody cared. The activities are really for one type of kid... sporty. I am not that kid

My daughter went to illahee and got a big personalities in her cabin she got bullied not love and everyone else new each other and where talking about themselves and there were rich rude girls

My girls have both attended Illahee and love it. It is a beautifully maintained property, offers numerous activities and the staff is incredibly attentive.

FANTASTIC summer girls camp in the mountains of North Carolina. As a camper and staff member I cannot say enough good things about this camp. It is a place that I can truly call my second home and was such a good escape from the pressures and drama of middle school during my childhood summers. The activities are great and evening programs were some of my most vivid memories as a girl. The friendships I made at camp will stick with me into my adult life and I can assure you that I will send my daughters to this camp so that they can experience the same memories I did. This camp is a great summer camp for girls of all ages and has something for every girl. I highly recommend this camp to any mother looking for a safe and fun camp for their daughter.

AMAZING Christian Summer Camp For Girls! I was a camper for 7 years and am now a counselor! Directors and non-cabin staff are WONDERFUL as well as counselors! Food is delicious! It truly has made a huge impact on my life and made me who I am today! I have made life-long friends and annually count down the days till I get to return! I love Illahee and would recommend it to any girls- any age! I plan to go back every summer untill I can't anymore! Illahee is my home away from home and I love it there!

Illahee is an absolutely fabulous camp. In my 9 years there, I have made friends like sisters from across the country, stretched my most non-stretchable boundaries, and grown my faith. The welcoming counselors make Illahee a friendly place, where campers feel more than comfortable to explore their faith and develop a closer relationship with God. Being an all girls camp, there is no pressure to impress and you really get the sense these girls are natural. Overall, an incredible Christian camp for girls.

Camp Ilahee is the best of the best when it comes to summer camps for girls. My grandmother went to Illahee, I went to Illahee, and I will most definitely send my daughter there one day. As a camper I enjoyed the wide variety of activities, making life long friends, and growing in my Christian faith. This place is truly top notch!

My sister and I attended Camp Illahee in the early 70"s for 2 years. My daughter is attending for her 8th summer this year. The camp is composed of 100 rolling acres in the NC mountains. A beautiful property. Laurie and Gordon Strayhorn are amazing owners/directors. They recruit extraordinary staff who are positive role models for the girls. They run a very well organized operation and each year they put additional improvements in place - although managing to keep with the traditional look and feel of the original camp. This camp provides a healthy, positive, and fun atmosphere for girls.No matter what the price tag for camp, the experience and opportunity for my daughter to attend Illahee has been a priceless treasure. I highly recommend it for those parents who are thinking about where to send their daughter to camp.

Camp Illahee is an amazing summer camp for girls! I loved every single second of the 11 years that i spent there. I spent 8 years as a camper, and 3 years as a counselor. Camp Illahee has an amazing staff full of caring, friendly, and loving young women. The facilities are in great condition and the activities never get old! One thing that Illahee focuses on is giving each individual attention and not clumping people together! I loved the connection that i had with each of my counselors and the directors! Illahee is an all around wonderful place where girls can be themselves and grow into who they want to be. It is a great summer camp for girls!

The staff members are attentive and caring. The directors hire the best girls around! Your daughter's counselors writes you two or three times during the session, allowing you to know how she is really doing. Each night the director writes a blog with pictures, which makes you feel like you are right at camp with her, and seeing her smiling face is a comfort. Illahee is an inclusive community- really a family that allows each girl to grow and be the best she can be. The facilities are top-notch, clean, and safe. Tour the camp and see for yourself!! You won't regret sending your daughter here where she will receive the ultimate summer camp experience!!!
