I'm not one to complain to the public, but I think people should know about my experience with Soundview Sports Camp. I interviewed with a bunch of camps and had three offers, including one from Soundview. I turned down the other offers to work for Soundview and two weeks prior to camp season, the owner calls me saying enrollment is too low to hire someone like me. He wasn't even that apologetic about it. At that juncture, it was too late for me to find another worthwhile job and I couldn't call the other camps whose positions I turned down because they'd laugh in my face/say they found a replacement (rightfully so). It is incredulous that the camp owner, who has been running this camp for 20 years, ended up in this "unforeseen" debacle last minute. He must have known was his numbers were looking like weeks, if not months, prior to the start of camp season. Thank you, Soundview Sports Camp, for being so unprofessional and causing me to be unemployed for the summer months.

You get what you pay for!! In this case "Soundview Sports" is a summer camp dedicated to enhance the athletic abilities of it's campers in hopes of creating a stimulating experience for every child enrolled. Soundview hires staff that are top athletes of their given sports which is vital to your child's experience and growth in whatever sport of interest. Socialization is a focal point in the Soundview philosophy, and being that Soundview's methodology stresses cohesive unity, socialization is implemented in every sport that Soundview offers. The camper/counselor ratio is not the same, so every camper can't get equal attention, however every coach and counselor makes it a priority to satisfy the needs of each camper. The facilities are great, located on the campus of "Manhattanville College" where all facilities are utilized by collegiate athletes year around. Like I said "You Get What You Pay For" and Soundview is worth every penny!!!!

really fun camp!! i went for 5 years. its a little repative averday but so fun. its rlly for kids who want to play sports. you choose 4 sports play 2 have great lunch and then do the other 2. you have to go for more then a week or 2 to really meet all the counselors and kids. u make friends that r different ages. i was like 13 but on a baseball team with kids from 9-14. every1 has fun. the counselors and staff r rlly friendly. every1 knows every1 cuz its a small camp. sports r fun if u=you try and cooperate. i recomend it

this camp is ok. its just for kids who r into sports. in the activities it is a mix of different ages. i was in a lacrosse class with 6 yr olds when i was 11. the staff isnt quite professinal and the director is mean. all of the counslers just hang out with other counslers they do not care about the kids. the lunch is amazing. there is not a good variety of sports. also u have to get ur own eqiptment. in tennis they give u no lesson they make u play with kids. this camp is good if u want to lose weight.

The staff is super nice!!!! but you don't get that much personal attention. super overpriced!! $4,000 for 2 weekss! the lunch is so good. the age groups are awful. they put like 16 year old ppl with like 6 year olds. there isnt alot of sports just ur basic ones. u make like nooooooooo friends what so ever. very crappy. you go in a tent and theres a gross potapottty no hygenee!! i recommend it to kids who are rlly into sports or want to lose alot of weight

this camp is ok. the staff isn't that good...you don' t get a lot of indivisual attention. ur not in a group (only for lunch) so the staff barely knows you. you don't make very good friends cuz ur rotating activities. the food is actually rly good. the activities are very bad though! you get no attention! in tennis they just give you a ball and say "go play" and you also play with people of all ages...i was n a basketball team with 3 14 year old boys and i was a 9 year old girl!! you also have to get your own equipment!!i don't recommend very much unless your seriously into lacrosse or a teen who's really good at every sport!

OMG I <33 CAMP SOUNDVIEWW!! THIS IS MY 4th YER AND I <33 it!! THE COUNCELERS ARE SO NICE AND BYE THE END OF THE YEAR U WILL PROBABLY LOES LIKE 20 POUNDS!!! the counclers are very caring and are very fun. But what i hate is that you can only have 1 cookie 4 desert! Mark (the owner) can sometimes be very yelly! on ur b day in the cafeteria you stand up in a chair and everybody sings to u!!! i <33 the soda macine. to be very honest you only make like 3-5 friends. but so what!!! they are like ur sisters. BUT alot of ppl dont have screen names! well thats it! btw u get to choose 4 sports and the lunch is very cool!!!
