i was a camper and staff at this camp, it is a girl scout camp that accepts girls who are scouts as well as girls who are not. I learned so many vaulable things at camp archbald. Its the place where i discovered who i was. tho the camp itself and the bulidings are rustic, it is more then adequate. and this year 2013 it was closed to allow them to replace the old dining hall. so many wonderful many memories. I can't wait to send my own daughters.

Camp Archbald has my heart and there is no other way to explain it. There is always something fun going on. You go home singing the songs you learned & planning on what program you want to do next summer. I've been a camper & counselor there for the past 11 years & definately could not imagine a summer without Camp Archbald. It is my second home & I go there every chance I get. Camp Archbald is rich in tradition & heritage. If only the new council (GSHPA) knew how important this tradition & heriage was. They need to stop ruining a perfect thing. Archbald is a place where all girls can be comfortable with who they are & do not have to feel like they need to fit into society's mold. I still remember my first year at Camp, & every year after that. There are memories that were made that could not be topped by anything else in the world. How many people actually still talk to someone they only knew for 2 weeks of their life? Not many, but thats what camp does, makes friendships and memories

This camp is awsom i've been going for 4 years i have a lot of great memories this year i went to lycogis and it was no where near as fun as archbald

oh my goodness. Thinking about memories from camp bring me to tears. Happy tears, of course. I'm only 13 years old, and I've been going to Camp Archbald for about 6 years now. I love the activities, and i love the fact that all the conselours come from all over. Last year i stayed in Mariners!! I loved it, and the song is amazing. I've had way too many memories at the camp, if i even tried to state them all, id go way over the 100 character limit. I'm going back this summer, and i absolutely can not wait. Every year you go there, you'll meet amazing people and have a great time. I'm already planning on being a conselour.(:? Camp Archbald forever, August 2nd-7th,2009, babby?

i've been going 2 camp archbald for 9 years, and it has changed a lot. The rules are more stricked,units dont "win" the contests anymore(so lame), you cant put paint on your body, you don't get American Redd Cross swimmer level cards anymore:( , you have to walk all the way to the infirmary for meds, they banned certain songs, the trading post doesnt have any food, or drink, or gimp!?!:( strethy plastic string for bracelets..it was a camp archbald hit!),the adventure trail is closed,and their is no black pig award(understandable) ...on the other hand no matter all the changes camp archbald will always seem very familar to me and i like that most things have stayed the same. it was strange this year though, when i went to my 1st week practically the whole staff was replaced...it was odd, i guess it happens...most of the staff was nice, but some just werent, it was fun meeting 1s from other parts of the world, &i cant wait 4 next year!:D im going to do lifeguarding so i'll get certified!

The best! Three generations of my family have loved this camp, and we hope the traidition continues! Good friends, good old fashioned fun in a traditional rustic setting. Excellent value (this costs me less than local day camps--- and they feed them, WELL!
Hiking, swimming, boating, and campfires.

This camp was pretty cool. It is one of the oldest girl scout camps in the country, so some of the things aren't brand new. There are a lot of people there so sometimes you don't get a lot of personal attention, but this also means that there are more people to meet and you don't ever feel lonley. Over all, this camp was fun :-)
