Camp Mac is a wonderful place with absolutely beautiful facilities, and, more important, great counselors and staff. I love the co-ed camp, it’s more fun for the kids, who can enjoy spending time with everyone. My children (who are all very different from each other, boys and girls) have attended this camp for many years. They started not knowing many people and they now love it like a second family. They enjoy all of the amazing activities, of course. But the culture of kindness, friendly competition and fun is so important to us, and Camp Mac stresses that every day. We can see the effects on the kids all year long, they are more confident and comfortable with themselves and others. The safety program is top notch, with extremely well vetted and trained counselors, and the food is wonderful. I would highly recommend this camp for anyone, it’s so welcoming and fun.

My nephew and my niece attended Camp Mac and absolutely loved it! When my children were born they couldn't wait for them to attend also. This summer was THE summer and it did not disappoint. We live 2,000 miles away from Alabama so my son knew absolutely no one at camp on check in day. Within minutes he was making friends with his bunkmates and the counselors had them going all over camp checking everything out. Over his three weeks there he became a more self confident, self motivated leader and he made lots of new friends! He absolutely loved his time there and can't wait to go back. We've already signed him up for 2019 and his sister will also be attending. Camp Mac is a magical place set in the middle of a beautiful pine forest with two private lakes, beautifully maintained facilities, caring staff, an abundance of planned activities, free time and summer memories the will last a lifetime. Your kids will thank you. Worth every penny and more.

Honestly, the camp has changed so much over the past year that it has really gone downhill. I would not recommend.

One child and two grandchildren have gone to Camp Mac and all four have enjoyed it and go back evry summer. The campers are not codlled but well taken care of. Staff is excellent and make sure that campers stay busy with wholesome activities, both indoors and outdoors. Buildings originally built as a CCA camp during the depression but have been maintained in pristine conditioned since the McBride family opened the camp in the 1940's.

Went to Camo Mac for 6 years as a boy, It's an outstanding experience for any child. Never a dull moment. The McBride family, who own and operate the camp, have a passion for what they do.

Camp Mac is a great summer camp. The facilities are amazing, the staff is responsible and it has tons of activities. The price was great compared to other camps of the same quality.
