A+ My scouts want to go nowhere else, they have a weekly countdown to when we are going back to Summer Camp at Settlers.

Great value for money. Camp and program directors do not interact at ALL with campers except during colors, and lunch. They are either sitting in the office, or wandering around camp. The rest of the staff is pretty great, Econ is a great area, as well as handicraft. This Old Camp has a decent person working in there, hes a person who is a little different with how he treats people. Athletics has a good staff, as well as archery/shooting sports. Overall it has a great staff, and if it had a replace camp director then it would be perfect 10/10 for a camp. The tents are in great shape as well, and the campsites are clean. The camp has latrines cleaned out before they over flow, and as long as the bad kids stay out of the shower house its a clean environment in there too. If your a boy scout, this is the camp to be at, great eats, great program, and good staff!

Overall bad camp. Latrines are constantly overflowing with raw sewage coming out of the "septic tank" and down the path to your campsite. Some staff, especially at the trading post, are extremely rude. The trading post staff throws items at customers and tells the customers to leave. The camp director rarely interacts with the camp and appears unhappy to be working there. The food is often undercooked and low quality. The showers are in dire need of repair and are extremely dirty. Many program areas are also especially dirty with debris strewn throughout. The camp appears disorganized and puts all of the campers at great risk when they do not bring the campers to a safe location during a thunder storm and instead leave them in the open while lightning is striking the camp. Many other scouting camps are better than Settlers camp for Boy Scouts. My cub scouts loved Akelaland, but once they were Boy Scouts, they greatly disliked Settlers.
