Staff might be good hockey players but are not hired for their love of children. Most are bored, disinterested & inattentive to the kids. Watched 'off-ice' training one day - had 100 kids standing out in heat (30+ day); waiting in line to do stairs while 2 counsellors sat on stairs texting. Not watching kids, no interaction whatsoever. Result - everyone bored, hot & waste of money.

Both my kids have attended the ice hockey camp the past couple of years; (there's a separate program called Multi-Sports). The counselors are very attentive, and George McDonald, the director runs a diverse program for all levels.
