For anyone wanting to go work here please think twice. They tell you you will get $800 for the Summer and an $800 bonus if you finish the summer, total of $1600, sounds GREAT right? However they will find many excuses to get rid of several kids before summer is up as an excuse NOT to pay them in full. You are lucky if you get a few hundred when you leave! I will be posting this EVERYWHERE I can find to post this to help poor young kids get taken advantage of and work almost for free.

Camp Greenbrier is incredible. This wonderful place provides an awesome experience for young boys, sets a foundation of honor and builds lifelong friendships. Traditions of the past seem lost today, yet they live strong at Camp Greenbrier. This is a treasure.

Wow, people really need to get used to taking a little bit of nature. I'm not even an outdoorsy person and I loved that Pollack's Cave hike the mom below me was talking about, even though it was pouring. Now I'm a senior, and I've been going to CG for 5 years, next year is my 6th. This camp totally rocks. You will make friends that you will never forget. Camp Greenbrier is my home 250 miles from home, and I will visit whenever I can and stay in touch with all my friends. It is so great because you can be whoever you want to be and don't have to worry about girls, which holds most older guys back. My term at Camp Greenbrier is the best 3 weeks of my year, every year. Sure, it's cold sometimes. The bathrooms aren't great. The showers just have curtains. And I thought that was horrible the first time I went. But it's part of the culture of hicksville, WV, and now it's a part of me. Definitely go to CG. The counselors are great and the staff really cares about campers.

My son went to this camp and did not have a good experience. They sent the campers on an overnight trip without adequate shelter...basically nothing except a leaky tarp. It poured and all the boys got wet, and were shivering. Some vomitted. All the boys returned safely but it was a miserable experience and in my opinion, the camp should have known to send along overnight tents. The camp director tried to claim that the lack of shelter and ability to deal with inclement weather was "part of the experience" the boys were supposed to have. The camp is not as expensive as other camps. You get what you pay for.
