I can not say enough about Camp Redwing! I have pretty much grown up at the camp. The activities are so much fun from canoeing to archery to Hiking to the newly added gaga pit. I have made so many friends here at camp and I stay in touch with many of them. The beds are fine and what you'd expect at a camp. The tent flaps aren't allowed to be shut that way if an animal happens to get in the tent, it will be able to get out. I give this camp a 5 because I have so much fun every summer and love seeing all my friends there!

My daughter loved the activities and made a lot of friends but doesn't want to go back to this camp. She is accustomed to away camps and felt that the facility's were unclean. She had a bad experience with a unruly tent mate and the councilors didn't deal with the problem. My daughter tried to help a child who was tearful and homesick ( a councilor's job). They discourage Cell phone use which is fine bit if you want to use it or call home you have to use it during your 1hr activity. 1hr phone time when you could choose other activites. They weren't aloud to close their tents for privacy or to prevent bugs and my daughter who is 9 had to take a1hr FOB (flat on back time.) She hasn't taken naps for years. Overall, not impressed and surprised by all of her complaints. She never complained about other overnight camps before.

I went to this camp two separate summers, at different camps. I was less than impressed. I felt like the counselors didn't care and I did not feel a connection to the people there as I have at other camps. The facilities were tolerable, but overall it was not a pleasant experience and I do not plan on ever returning.

I go there every year. They have older girls (including me) as the counselors. The only thing is the beds are rickody and the bathrooms arent that great. Its a lot of fun though. you dont go horseback riding though, i dont know where that other person got that. but if you get a paper for *camporee* (girl scouts only) DEFINATELY have your child do it. its so much fun.

Horseback riding programs, heated outdoor pool with a waterslide (built in the mid 1990s), plus regular camp activities.
