The camp Infirmary is horrible,They don't take care of the kids. They don't treat them with the right medications, if they need to see a DR. they have to wait at least 3 days, kids that getting sick with a simple cold ending with a complicated health issues. The staff are not responsible at all!!!They don't take responsible for their mistakes. The unit head not helping the kids, instead he is blaming them and scream at them and not trying to solve the problems.Very Disappointment!!!!

This is the best camp in the world- I went here as a camper and counsellor for 18 year- The physical beauty of the camp is unbelievable but it will not come close to the experience of a lifetime that you will have with the wonderful people who inhabit this place and come back every year!

BHEC is really the place to be! If you don't go here you are honestly missing out on one of the best experiences of your life, as it was mine. This will be my 9th summer at BHEC and most people i know there have been going for numberous summers so it just shows how much people never wanna leave and how amazing this place is. the food is incredible, it gets better every yr! it has a very good jewish aspect. you make life long friends who become your family. not only are the people in your bunk shack or cabin your family but the whole camp is your/a family. you will never get the same experience as going to a big camp like pontiac as you do here. everyone knows everyone's name and you can wave to anyone on campus and just run up to them and share ur love for each other and the camp itself. staff is amazing and good trips. bhec expands ur social life and ur want to meet new people. has definetly been the best thing that has happened to me! dont miss out! try a summer at BHEC!

Homegrown staff is the "cream of the crop" of sorts. Many of the current staff were born into the bhec family, this ensures that the staff relates to the campers and makes sure they have a wonderfull time. This camp by no means is a resort, if thats what your looking for you this is not the camp for you. The facilitites are above par for what you would expect from such an affordable camp. The fact that the camp dosn't have some state of the art programs are undershadowed by how hard the staff works by each staff member really finding their niche. I've been on both sides: camper and staff member and I could really say I cherised every moment at BHEC. I still rememeber first meeting my fellow group and thinking these kids are never going to like me. This was quickly disproven as the whole group is still close to this day. There is really no other camp like this where the whole camp is so close. I would recomend that anyone intrested in camp should check this camp out.

My children have attended BHE for the past three years. They could never imagine spending their summer any where else. To be honest, as a parent, I am envious! They are so lucky to have the opportunity to live is "Teva" all summer. They have a two month sleep over with friends that have become more like family! Great meals! And Round the clock activities! Over the past three years many of my friends that never considered sleep away camp for their children, were forced to give in, due to heavy negotiations, by their own kids. None of them have any regrets and look forward to giving their children future camping experiences in BHE.

This is the second sleepaway camp my boys have attended. The first was the camp I went to and my cousins and kids went to and where my dad was on the board for 30 years! We left there a few summers ago for reasons I won't go into but I was devasted. I have to tell you that I was so happily surprised at how wonderful BHEC is! The staff - from top to bottom is wonderful. There are more mature staff there - aka parents...who make it even better. The Grounds are beautiful. The activities are wonderful and it is so much more affordable! My boys LOVE it! They have had a better summer each year than the last and they do NOT miss the old camp. They both find BHEC one to be so much better! Thank you BHEC!

This camp is AMAZING! I love it so much and it is my favorite place in the world. Your kids will make such good friends! Personally my best friends are from this camp. The staff is GREAT and they always make campers summers even better. I highly recommend this camp. I would suggest to go for the whole summer, but if not defiantly go second session. That's when color war is and it is very intense. Everyone loves it. This camp is small, which lets you get to know everyone. The people you meet here will become your second family!

This camp just keeps getting better and better- Mature staff, great mix of activities. Kids have a great time and can't wait to return. Not too large which is great as well.

Out of control campers and an unprofessional, poorly trained staff staff that was either unwilling or unable to handle the bullies. Very inexpensive camp--but you get what you pay for.

My son had a great time at this camp! He did the two week try out and stayed an extra week. They were very attentive to him, and he felt very good and cared about. They were very good at communicating (he has some medical needs) and they were very on top of everything and called me if they had a question. I would highly recommend!

omg bhec is like the best camp ever my mom went there my sisters went there my aunts and uncles went there and for more the 3 summers at least and they all had the time of their lives and i can not wait to go back this summer cuz BHEC+ME=SECOND HOME jmi

i love BHEC its the best camp in the world (except 4 the spiders lol)the food is gross but it really is my home away from home and color war is totally awesome! the other camps have nothing on it!!!

3 years as a camper, 6 more years as a staff member. not a day goes by that i don't think about the wonderful days and unforgettable nights i spent at BHEC. the staff is committed to making sure their campers have as great an experience as the one their counselors gave them.

You can send your kid somewhere else. They can come back and say they had a good time. No one will deny that. BHEC far exceeds the ideal summer or experience. It becomes something that becomes who you are. If you spend one summer, 11 summers or 25, you will forever look back on it as that time in your life where you learned to live. Period.

BHEC has been the most amazing experience year after year. The memories and friends you make here are like nowhere else. My camp friends are really my favorite people in the world and the setting is breathtaking!

BHEC is the most amazing camp on earth. I went to BHEC for 7 summers, made lifelong friends that i will never forget. The counslers made a lifetime impression on me and helped me grow to be the person i am today. The grounds are beautiful, the people are amazing, and the new facilities are amazing. at age 9 i was supposed to go for one month, and when my mother came to visit half way through the summer i ran up to her not to say hello, but to ask if i could stay the whole summer. There was never a summer i did not stay 2 months and for the 10 months i was there all i wanted to do was go back. And at 23, my only regret is that i am not still there!

There is no better place to send a child. This place will have an impact on them that no amount of money could ever buy. It is a life changing place, 15 years I was lucky enough to spend there.

I've been going to BHEC for 10 years, and it has been by far the best experience i've ever had. I have so many great memories from camp. It's beautiful and fun and a great way for anyone to spend their summer.

Berkshire hills isn't my home away from home. it IS my home. theres nothing wrong with it. The only bad thing is Dennis leaving. If you see this dennis, do us all a favor and stay. much love.
