My child also felt the concerts were a bit long after a long day of training. Forty five minutes might be a better choice. Camp has excellent staffing. My child felt he learned a lot but expressed that a little more free time would give him a chance to hang out with others more freely. Instruction in music seems to be very good. My child felt inspired and returned with cd's by camp faculty. This camp IS about learning more about jazz. It might considered a school and perhaps in the future even offer educational credit. A student in a music ed program can have a good intern and teaching assistant experience in this camp. I feel the surveys would be better if written for minors. There are questions related to financial circumstances that should be left for parents/caregivers. The person who found the program is known to be truly dedicated with non stop energy and enthusiasm.The festival is worth attending with or without camp. Excellent music. LJC =special place for young musicians.

Great camp!!! I learned so much and had a ton of fun. The concerts were a wee bit long... But still, awesome.
