Click to report rating    8/2/16   5     4     5     5     5   Although the facilities aren't great, yet they are still acceptable, every summer my camper spent there, only positive things came out, how nice the campers and staff were, how fun the activities were, and overall what a magical and a place that my camper called a second home. I never think twice about signing up for next summer! RID: 49872
Click to report rating    9/26/15   2     2     2     2     3   Moral tone of camp is its strength. Counselors are usually nice and well meaning, facilities sparse, fairly good value, camp is located in a nice area, kids are well behaved, and enjoy their time there although there are far nicer camps out there. Click to report rating    8/6/14   5     4     5     5     5   My 12 year old has been a camper at Sprout for 3 years. Each yr.gets better than the one before. Her 9 year old sister us there for the 1st time and loves it according to her letters. The staff takes such care from medical health to emotional. I can't think of a better place fir my daughter's to spend the summer. It would however be an advantage if the waterfront program was expanded. RID: 47794
Click to report rating    7/13/12   2     2     2     1     1   Staff sounds extremely positive but I trust my child to tell the truth when it comes to the camp conditions. Lace problems, postcards/emails take a week to reach you, old, run down bunks, food problems that cause stomach upset, no tick awareness whatsoever. My child experienced all of that. RID: 41690
Click to report rating    7/7/12   5     4     4     5     5   This isn't the kind of camp where your child will learn to parasail or water ski. It's not a country club. The facilities are clean but simple. You don't send your child to Sprout Lake for the facilities, or even for the activities. You send your child here (as we did) because of the great values. The staff is enthusiastic, the kids welcoming and not spoiled. I agree with the other poster- it's a mensch machine. I feel like we want to "arm" our kids with everything we can now, to face the challenges of adolescence and beyond. Sprout Lake does this by creating a positive, caring, Jewish community. RID: 41591

Click to report rating    1/13/08   5     5     5     5     5   Ever since my first summer as an Ofie in 2004, I loved Sprout Lake. It is what I look forward to all year. It is one of my favorite places in the world. The activities are awesome, and the food is actually really good!! I love this camp SO much. Every year at the end of the summer when we are driving away, I start crying because I cant imagine not being there for a whole year. Sprout is the best camp ever!! RID: 18890
Click to report rating    5/19/07   4     3     2     3     2   Too many educational activities, I was hungry a lot, and the 8 y.o. boys went crazy jumping on bunk beds and in the bathrooms without supervision. They need more girls. I would've liked more sports, and we weren't allowed to go boating or on the zipline like promised. Cool field trips, though. That's pretty much it. RID: 10952
