this camp was pretty good I did the mini camp session. it is pretty hot and I reallyy wanted to go home and they let me! But the first night is ALWAYS the hardest so remember that otherwise the food was not good sorry hoover but I guess it was ok but if you have an outdoorsy girl send them!

Camp hoover is the best camp you could ever go to!!! Its a place you can go to make lots of freinds and play fun games and activities!! On a scale from one to ten, this camp is an eleven!!!!

This camp is my favorite place IN THE WORLD. Everything about it I LOVE. I always have so much fun, and I hate when I have to leave. I've gone for 3 years, and I'm going this summer again. When I'm old enough I hope to be a counselor there. The counselors they have there are like role models to me, and are some of the most fun people I've ever met. Not going to this camp would probably cause part of me to die inside. I would just miss it so much. I love this place so much because for one thing, it's one of the only places where I can make real friends. The year I can longer go to camp hoover, will be the year that I may just cry all summer

Camp Hoover is one of the best camps you will go to. The staff are great, the food is great, and the lake is awesome! I hope Camp Hoover stays this fun for a LONGG time. :)

This camp was AMAZING! I loved it, I would go back in a heart beat! I went to Hoover last summer '10 it was LEGIT the best camp ever it was SOOO fun, the tents were ok and the food it was amazing! i loved it this year I am bringing 2 friends last year I brought 1 this camp is so fun for everyone

I went here as a camper this year and it was horible... and it was like prison. They wanted you to have no contact with the outside.... even family... the activities were not good.... and all I did was play cards all week... really boring crappy place... thank you for your time =)

I WORKED AT CAMP HOOVER AS A COUNSELOR FOR 4 SUMMERS FROM 1990-1993. I STILL CHERISH THE MEMORIES I HAVE FROM CAMP AND BELIEVE THE TIME I SPENT THERE HELPED TO SHAPE MY FUTURE. -"tapz"

I have been going to Camp Hoover since I was nine years old. I am now 18, and unfortunately couldn't work as a couselor this year. I was a camper for nine years, including when I was 16 and 17. Even when I was one of the oldest kids at camp, I didn't feel left out. The staff are always there for you, and are always willing to listen or lend a shoulder to cry on. I sorely miss being there; it made such a difference in my life. I wholeheartedly recommend Camp Hoover to any girl who has a love of the outdoors, and a passion for friendship. -AJAP, age 18

I absolutely love camp, I've been going for 5 or six year(SOO MANY I FORGOT) and I'm really sad that i have to start doing stuff for school over the summer so i can go this year. I'm tearing up!!!! i guess that shows I LOVE CAMP! Now I'm cryingg! :'( Camp, Camp Hoover CAMP!

Im only 10 but i can still say camp hoover is amazing.I never want to stop going! From poisin ivy to alomost drowning in the lake.I LOVE CAMP HOOVER!

Camp Hoover = my home away from home. I love Camp Hoover more then life itslef. I have made so many amazing friends that I still talk to over the school year. Camp gives you a chance to meet new people, learn a lot of new things, shows you that you can live with out your cell phone for a week :), and provides you with the best experiences ever. I have learned so much from camp and could not imagine doing anything else with my summer. I never bring friends to camp because I know I will make new ones and see people from previous summers. I LOVE CAAP HOOVER!

I was a staff member for 4 years and am now sending my daughter for her fourth year. She absolutley loves it. The attentiveness of teh staff and the committment to the children is beyond compare. There is always something new and exciting to do, and the values instilled are excellent.

camp hoover is amazing. ive been going since i just turned 5. im 16 now and i can't imagine NOT going. its a place to get away from drama and the world. even though i love my cell phone, this camp makes you appreciate the simple things in life SUCH AS MAIL. i have never been so happy to get a letter. At camp hoover i have found who i really am and no one form home knows me like i am at camp. i feel like i really found myself there.

i LOVE camp hoover! this will be my sixth summer at camp, and i love it! the staff is great, and the programs are really fun. although it's not perfect, camp hoover is my summer getaway, where i don't have to worry about boys, looks, or drama. if you're looking for a great overnight camp, camp hoover is it!

WOW! I am now a mother of an 8 year old. I attended Camp Lou Henry Hoover many years ago. I still to this day, remember the wonderful times and experiences I had while at the camp. I totally looked forward to the summers because I knew I would be going away to camp. My mom raised my sister and I alone, but she always found a way to send us to camp...I was so lucky. I met so many girls from all over the state. I can't wait to send my daughter, so she can have the same experience.

i enjoy going to this camp. this summer is my fourth year, and i am leaving in 3 days for session one! i have always gone with a friend each year i went, but this year im going 3 weeks alone. i KNOW i will make friends, because i always do.i have a lot of memories here and the camp itself is absolutely beautiful. its sooo cheap compared to others, and its sooo worth it. the cabins are nice and the tents are okay (i mean it is camp) i actually kind of like it being all girls because it takes a lot of pressure off. i might not go back to this camp next near for more than like a week because i have done basically all the activities i am interested in, but there are some i wouldnt mind doing again. such as, sailing (which im doing for the 2nd time this summer) and creation (you can never have enough baskets) i think their website pictures arent that good. the camp is a lot nicer than it looks. but overall i do really like this camp!!! ps. im 13

I was a staff member at Camp Hoover for three years as well as a camper for eight. This camp is a great place for girls to meet friends from all over the state (and even the country). Every counselor is CPR and First Aid Certified and over half of the staff return every year. Speaking from experience I came to Camp Hoover alone when I was seven. I have met my best friends here. People who still support me and keep in contact when I'm finished with college. It's is truly a place for girls to grow strong and build confidence. My mother (58) went to Camp Hoover when she was younger and the memories stuck with her for the rest of her life. It is an excellent camp where you can enjoy the outdoors and fabulous friends.

I love camp!!!! there is no other place like it. I've met some of my best friends here and the programs are amazing!!! From gymnastics to sailing, Camp Hoover has it all!!!! This will be my seventh summer at camp and I still can't get enough of it!!!!

ARE YOU SERIOUS> TOO GOODY GOODY! THIS CAMP IS GREAT. THIS WILL BE MY 7TH YEAR AND I LOVE IT. EVEM THOUGH IT IS A LITTLE OLD FASHIONED IT IS GREAT. THE COUNSLERS ARE AMAZING AND SOO ARE ALL OF THE CAMPERS. IT IS SOO MUCH FUN SITTING BY THE FIRE ROASTIND MARSHMELLOS OF ON A 1 WEEK CANOE TRIP DOWN THE DELAWARE. I LOVE THE WATERFRONT. EVEN THOUGH THE HILLS ARE STEEP AND LONG, THE GET YOU IN REALLY GOOD SHAPE. YOU HAVE NO IDEA HOW FUN THIS CAMP IS. THE NIGHT GAMES ARE SOO FUN. IF THINKING ABOUT GOING TO CAMP HOOVER, DEFFINITLY GO AT LEAST 1 WEEK. H. 13 YEARS OLD

Camp Hoover was waaaayy too goody-goody for me. I mean, come on. Girl Scout camp??? As in NO guys? I mean, I'm not "loose" at all, but I would at least like to see a few boys for me to talk to. My parents thought that me hanging out with all girls would make me more well-rounded. (Reverse logic, I know). It just showed me how catty some people can be. Everyone got really jealous of me and my friend and they were totally mean to us! I think alot of the girls need to get their emotions and self-esteem in check. And find some boy friends! (NOT boyfriends, as in a relationship. I mean BOYS that are FRIENDS).

I've been going there for the past four years. The counslers are usually nice and you can really connect with them. The cabins are lovely, and the tents are, well, tents. The activities are great, I've done Creation for three years and I'm not sick of it yet. It's a wonderful camp and it's great for girls of all ages. It's cheap, but worth at least twice of what you pay.

the staff were nice to me(of course, they could've been nicer) the activities were extremely fun, however, there were far too many mosquitoes here. i came home from a week at camp hoover with both legs COVERED with mosquitoe bites. if you go there, i advise u bring a ton of bug spray. also, i felt that the girls that went to that camp b4 got more attention than i did. but I LUV U CAMP HOOVER!!!
