Not super fancy, not super hands-on, just a good old fashioned camp where girls can be girls. I told my girl, look, these counselors are just girls like you so you will either have to advocate for yourself if you really have a problem, or you will have to comfort yourself. They are not highly paid, educated in child psychology counselors, they are just girlscouts, some nice, some not perfect. Just do your best, have fun and try to stay out of trouble- and she had a blast.

It's the best. This is my 12 year there. I go for at least 2 weeks every summer and I can't wait to be on staff next year. I've brough all my friends who also live it and plan on joking the staff. If I have kids I will defiantly send them here. Not many camp have actual programs. Instead you do the same thing everyday. But her you get to do every thing. Play wink climb the rock wall so archery. The low ropes campfire swimming horse back riding arts and crafts creek hikes traveling and way more. You shod definit send your kids here. The camp is always clean and the staff are great. W Rey person feels like Rey bong. It's not only about being a Girl Scout.

This is the best camp ever! I've made some of my very best friends here and I look forward to going back from the day I leave. It's a great experience. All the staff are so nice and really know how to help if you get home sick or are having a problem. Yeah sometimes there's bugs and dirt everywhere but your're in the woods you can't help that. All the activities are amazing. There's so much to do the week just flies by. You get to plan with your group what special activities you want to do that week. The councilors always make sure everyone is engaged and having fun. The songs are a lot of fun too! I sing them all year round. I look forward to being a councilor soon so I can give kids the same great experience that I've had from my young childhood to know at camp. The great times just get better and better. Now that I'm older I can go for longer and stay in touch with friends made there and go back with them. We cry every year at the closing campfire because no one wants to leave.

It is the best camp on earth! The activities are really fun. I look forwards to it evry year. It is all I talk an think about from April when I get my camp booklet when I chose what week I go until Christmas. Yea, sure iI get home sick but it is to much fun not to go to. the counselars are amazing too. The food isn't the best and the beds aren't the best it is muddy but what do you expect, its camp.

Amazing place! The staff are dedicated and really want the best for the campers. There is always something going on and the programming is amazing and you can tell that it is well planned out. There are more than enough staff members to keep the kids entertained and having fun. Wood Haven is a lot cheaper than other camps, yet it is better than a lot of the alternatives! Great camp to go to!

I loooooooove Wood Haven! It's so nice there! I want to give a shout out to Webster, Isis, and Kilo, for being the best counselors ever! And also a special shout out to my fellow CPA's of the last two weeks of camp! You guys rock!(<3 Socks!) I think the camp was amazing for me being there for 2 weeks in a row! The activities are nice, but the latrines need to be pumped more often! I had fun learning how to be ans aide to alot of the places arouns camp!(Barn, kitchen, pool, a&c, etc.) I recommend this camp for all first time girl scout campers! Happy camping!

Platform Tents infested with Wolf Spiders. Activities during the day were fun. But, very difficult to sleep at night with the spiders.

My first girl scout trip with my 7 yr old daughter. We stayed in a building that had more mold then mice and spiders. I know, camping But the girls had a hard time breathing by the end of the weekend. They had fun. They lerned new songs and enjoyed the meals.

I spent 10 years at the Haven as a camper and staff member, and every summer I miss it. As a camper, I had strong women helping me learn and grow. So much of who I became was shaped by the weeks I spent at camp. When I have daughters, this is where they'll spend their summers.

I was a camper at Wood Haven for 8 years and I loved every minute of it. I can't wait until my kids are old enough to attend. The staff is well trained and I know that my daughters will be taken care of by the best. I have no concerns leaving my children in their care. The programs are fantastic. They are always full of fun activities related to what you sign up for. The atmosphere is is great, it's just like being with an extended family. Girls are given such great opportunities to explore their interests and really grow into strong, secure women. I would strongly recommend this camp to anyone looking for a good place to send their children to camp. They are sure to make memories that will last a life time. Although I'm sure you will miss them all week, you will never have to worry about them not being safe. The staff here is phenomenal. "Take me back to Wood Haven, if for just a month or two, and I'll remember our times there and I'll remember you..."

I went here for five years as a camper and now I am a counselor. I keep coming back because of the wonderful family-like atmosphere of it. There are lots of different programs that girls can go to, the staff is energetic and knowlegable, and we always have a great time!

My 7 year spent a week at this camp and had a terrific time. Run by the Allentown Girl Scouts it is about an hour naorth of Lancaster in Pine Grove PA- near Blue Mountain. Like the other Girl Scout Camps, it is really good value, about $250 a week. What struck me about Wood Haven was how really happy the counselors were and how much they really liked the Camp; there were a lot of repeat campers and counslors who had been gong to the camp for many years. Activites are focused on scouting themes; tied into earning badges as wel las the rest of the traditional sleepaway camp activites.
