I went to this camp in 5th grade and will never. ever. go back. I had been to Camp War Eagle the previous year and HAD A BLAST! When i got to Kanakuk Klassic, I was so disappointed. The parties weren't fun and all everyone ever talked about was getting saved and how if you weren't saved then you weren't a good christian. this got to me. It was meant to be a christian camp, and for me being catholic, I don't believe in being "saved" However, my most memorable event was when I was forced to clean the kitchen because a girl in my cabin couldn't take sarcasm and told the councilors on me. instead of asking for my side of the story, they gave me a warning but I didn't see the problem with being sarcastic. the next time i was "mean" the girl told on my and I had to spend every break for the rest of the camp cleaning the kitchen, taking out garbage, and washing dishes. It was horrible. Never going back.

Oh my goodness, this was the best place to come to christ, going to this camp really changed my life. unfortunetly for the campers they changed it to another KAA camp,but i am very happy that inner city kids that may not have had an oppurtunity to come to christ now have this oppurtunity!

Kanakuk klassic has not disappointed me for three years. Everything is great. All the staff is friendly, and your not just a number there. It is also fun! I was a little disappointed at the facilities, But what can you expect from av place in the middle of nowhere? K-KLASSIC ROCKS!

K-Klassic is simply fantastic! I felt right at home, during my first summer there. I met tons of awesome people, and plan to go next year! Roll It Back!
