Amazing experience on the Nice Program for our son! ACA really exceeded all of our expectations. Our son loved the electives and daily activities. It was a great mix of fun and enrichment. We were very impressed with the professionalism and attention of the staff. We are excited to send our younger daughter on an ACA program this summer!

Best summer ever in Barcelona!!! My son did not want to leave! He spent 3 weeks in Barcelona and 1 week in Greece with ACA. He went on the program not knowing anyone and came out with tons of new friends. They have already hung out at home after the program ended! He loved his International Business and Spanish electives. The program helped advance his Spanish level. His afternoons and evenings were filled with such fun activities. There were so many options, it never got old! His favorite weekend trip was to the South of France. The accommodations and meals were better than expected. The communication and travel alerts from ACA was really impressive. We felt very safe the entire program and the staff were just amazing to the students! We would most definitely recommend this program to other families!

My son had an amazing experience in SoCal with ACA! He loved all the fun activities and the staff. The electives were very engaging and he really enjoyed his instructors. The program was well organized and we felt he was safe with ACA!

Sofia was thrilled with her experience. She made great friends and learned so much about her heritage (she is 1/2 Italian). She was happy with the hotels, the excursions, the cooking classes and her Italian tutor. Of course, now she wants to studying abroad in Italy a semester when she goes to college! Thank you so very much ACA!

Ava had the most incredible experience this past summer in Florence and Greece. She went this summer not knowing any other students and met a great group of girls that I know she will continue to keep in touch with. Ava raved about the cooking classes and tried many new foods that she really liked! She also enjoyed her International Business course and found the material interesting. The weekend excursions were the highlight for her and Capri was her favorite of them all. ACA did such a wonderful job creating a memorable experience for Ava and all the other students on the trip. Great way to build independence and create more confidence for Ava. We would definitely recommend it to any other families looking for a safe, fun, and educational summer experience! We will definitely be in touch in when our younger daughter is at the age for a summer travel experience.

Our family has sent our 3 kids on many summer camps, sleepaway camps and teen programs and ACA was the absolute best of them all for our family. ACA was helpful, reassuring and on-top of all pre program and on program communication with both the parents and the students. ACA offered fabulous activity choices, enrichment options, staffing and medical care. One of our kids had a medical issue, while on the program, and the ACA leadership and staff provided rea-time updates, peace-of-mind and comfort. We have had the good fortune to send our 3 kids on various programs and nothing compared to ourvACA experiences, for all 3 of our kids and their friends.

Braeden had the most incredible Summer in Malibu at ACA’s Surf Camp. He made some amazing friends and they all want to do another ACA program somewhere else next summer! Thank you for everything. It was a really seamless two weeks .We recommend ACA to any family that is looking for the highest quality Summer program for their child.

I had the best summer ever with ACA in Barcelona! The classes, activities and weekend trips were so much fun! I made amazing friends. My favorite part was the weekend trip to the South of France and the Greece extension. The program was really organized and the staff were super helpful and friendly. Best summer ever!!

This program is a total ripoff. The counselor are not equipped to be teaching and keeping your children safe. The kids were drinking and smoking pot and the counselors did nothing. The program advertised a service learning opportunity with an orphanage and rather than provided that, they had the kids picking up trash off the streets and sidewalks.
The kids were not taught in spanish as promised, the trip to the south of France was miserable the kids were in a bus for 14 hours and the counselor only gave them 1 bathroom break. Girls begged to have a bathroom break and the counselors refused to let them off the bus. They claimed that the food was included yet the kids paid for breakfast and dinner most nights. They claimed to have a parent night and they did not have anything planned. DO NOT send your child here, this program should be shut down for many reasons.

My daughter had a blast in Florence with ACA! I appreciate the staff taking such good care of her during this fantastic and unforgettable summer! She will have memories to last a lifetime. This is an honest review. Most of the programs are severely misrepresented. I was painted a picture of an old established program attended by hundreds of students, but the actual trip had less than a dozen students, and all the classes we wanted were cancelled. There’s also hidden fees. I spoke to other parents they had the same experience. The staff complains about being overworked and underpaid and frankly seem all new and under-trained.

My son had the best two summers of his life at ACA!!! We are so excited that my other son and his friend are going on ACA this coming summer. This company is so well organized and planned that each day my older son felt that the program was better than the day prior. The difference we have found at ACA compared to other programs is in the staff that they select and the leadership that we experienced from the ownership, and his direction regarding safety and supervision along with his never ending commitment to both the parents and their teens.

Every time there is a negative comment posted her, it is apparent that the owner of this organization posts a positive one. Buyer beware - check a reference before entrusting your child's safety to this company. The marketing materials are very slick but almost not of it is reality. They do not offer all those great courses and there are extra hidden fees for the ones they do run. Most of the trips they list never happen. My child messaged me daily with one problem or another and I could not reach the owner the entire summer to get satisfaction. I spent $10,000 to hear my child complain about staff that said they were inexperienced,untrained and underpaid. Food that was barely more than pasta at every meal. Excursions that she never went on. Classes that were a complete waste of time. From my perspective, this is a sham of a company. They literally take your money and run.

This summer was an absolute blast in Florence. I had so much fun experiencing culture and meeting a ton of new friends. We saw so much and I was never bored. Thank you for an experience that I will never forget! So many memories!!!

I am a very concerned Mother and sent my daughter to ACA this past summer and it was nothing short of exceptional. The staff was kind, caring, approachable and literally willing to bend over backwards for my daughter. My daughter is gluten intolerant which makes meal times a bit challenging. My daughter shared at each and every meal, special food was provided and she was never made to feel like an outsider. We are a well traveled family, but my daughter relayed the quality of accommodations and large selection of both daily and evening activities and weekend excursions was amazing. Every call I could hear the smile beaming on the end of the phone as she called to check in. Our family has been on teen tours in Europe and to sleep away camp in Maine and to many of the finest programs and ACA was the best of all the experiences.

I signed my daughter up for their program in France. In all my conversations with them I was never told it was the first year it was running - it fact, I was definitely misled that this was an established program. They cancelled the program in the spring for lack of enrollment. THen I moved my daughter to their Seville program - they cancelled that too - in the middle of June! THen I moved her to the program in Barcelona which was a disaster. Inexperienced staff, no communication at all from the company, they don't do 1/2 the things we're told they would do so don't bother reading their information book, lots of walking and walking (sure, that's free), horrible- unhealthy meals - pasta and more pasta. THere were only a handlful of boys - contrary to what we were told - and 95% girls. Other parents I spoke to also felt they were sold a bill of good by this company. Buyer beware - check references carefully.

I attended ACA Seville back in July 2003. It was the best summer of my entire life. So much so that, since my trip, I have referred many friends to go, remained very close with the company, have served as a counselor for one of their summer programs and also a flight monitor. I highly recommend this program for any high school student looking for a true cultural immersion experience. It is also one of the most structured and safe programs out there, which is sure to make any parent feel comfortable in sending their child overseas. Eight years later and I am still as in love with ACA as I was the day I left my Seville trip…if not MORE!

I will totally agree with the misrepresented comment. My child went to Spain. The camp was advertised as a camp with 200 students, only 40% from the US. There are 50 students and 98% are from the US, everyone else came with someone so the cliques are very strong. All of the other campers are interested in shopping, not the culture or art of the city, so that when my child is taking advantage of a museum or sight he feels that he is imposing on everyone else's pool time. The icing on the cake is that while my child was in the bathroom at a dinner outing the entire table, including the counselor left. She had to call the camp and they sent someone to pick her up.

Stop! Don't send your junior to ACA U of Wisconsin 2-week program this summer 2008! My daughter attended last summer and was extremely disappointed! Only 9 students enrolled; THIS PROGRAM WAS MISREPRESENTED, leading us to believe there would be many more attending. The classes she picked were cancelled at the last minute; then one was reinstated. The counselors were not trained to deal with social issues; one of the three other girls ran away. We had to pick our daughter up before it ended because she was alone during activities, meals, and at the mall, etc. SAVE YOUR MONEY!
