I remember my first day as an Ole (Middle School Group) and it was so different from anything else I have ever done. I even got my brother hooked on going! Now he wants to be C.I.T. just like me! This camp is worth every penny you spend. You will never find a better camp than Wintaka, I promise! RID: 40785

Click to report rating    7/26/10   5     3     5     5     4   I've been attending Camp Wintaka for 5 years now, (also known as Pondorosa Pines year-round) and finally have the privilege to be a C.I.T. (counselor in training). Wintaka really becomes a part of you, especially with all of the people you meet, and lessons you learn every year. The facilities aren't the best, but hey, it's camp. The staff is helpful and admirable, the activities are fun, and you never feel neglected as a camper. Attention is there for whoever needs it. The majority of staff were also campers at once too, so they know how you feel. As for monetary value, it is fairly affordable for the average family, and meals and all activities are covered. Overall, Camp Wintaka is AMAZING, and you will not regret going. :) RID: 33497

Click to report rating    10/13/07   5     4     5     5     5   Camp Wintaka was SO much fun! You get a chance to meet other kids from your area and hang with them for a week. The counselors are awesome, the meals are GREAT! All of the activities are the best. Swimming, Art, Archery, and more! Through out the week each age group learns a dance and performs it at the dance. At the dance after that, you just talk, dance, and hangout. There are hikes, overnight in the forest, and campfires. Camp Wintaka truly gave me the BEST out-door week long camp experience EVER!!! I miss the people I met there!! RID: 16174
