I have been coming to this camp for 7 years now and I strongly suggest sending your children here. In all honesty they will most likely have fun at any camp you send them to but Camp Toccoa is not only outstandingly fun but it will teach your children honest values, give them life changing experiences, and allow them to be in a supportive, safe environment with a positive staff guiding them along throughout the week. There are personal elements about Camp Toccoa that you simply won't get out of other overnight camps. Trust me when I say that your kids will view things in a whole new light after attending camp. It's the best thing my parents ever put me in and I hope your kids will be able to say the same.

The staff was great and activities enjoyable. But my young son went a week without a shower or brushing his teeth. So no personal supervision. Better for older kids I think.

My children went to this camp for several years. It was a good experience for them while they were very young because it is a smallish camp and not intimidating. However, it is not as equipped as some of the larger camps. They outgrew it after a few years. Also there is one counselor there that they do not like who is there every year.

I went to this camp last year. I can't wait for summer to get here so I can go back. The swimming teachers are great. I can swim all the way across the pool now.

My kids have loved their summers at Camp Toccoa and I am impressed with the training the staff undergoes. They have had great ACA inspection ratings over the years, which tells me procedures are in place to cover the bases. The horseback program is top-notch--both kids becoming proficient riders as well as learning about horse care. Overall, Camp Toccoa is a great camp with a long history of tradition. It's good to see the kids feel so comfortable operating in the outdoors. Two thumbs up!

There is "Magic" at Camp Toccoa. The campers are truly loved by the staff. Many of which are former campers. This is what camps should be, no TV, computers, or electronic games. Campers are made aware of nature, and they meet new challenges and friends. This is by far on of the best camps I have seen.

If you're looking for a rustic camping experience, Camp Toccoa is the ideal place to relax and enjoy the opportunity to not only learn new skills like swimming, archery, outdoor living skills, canoeing, etc., but also build lasting friendships, aquire new levels of confidence, and enjoy a positive environment. With only 8 campers to every counselor, every camper gets remembered and makes friends within their cabin and unit. The values of Camp Toccoa are positive and allow everyone to be who they are and accepted by all.

I was a camper here for 10 years, then on staff for another 5. This camp has been a life changing experience for me! It may not be one of the new "high tech" camps, but if you're looking for a traditional, good fun camp, where children and values still matter - this is the place. They'll never forget it! And the may just end up a "lifer" like me! :)
