I love camp so much. I have been for 7 years and it is the best camp in the entire world! The on,y thing is that there are a lot of people so you don't get very much attention, but it still is the greatest camp in the world!

1,000 words can't express the feeling you get as a camper here at winnamocka. Every year I go back for one reason, to make memories. Winnamocka never fails to amuse me from the skits to the WDDP. I have never thought summer camp would be so much fun to go to. Never are you alone in any situation, you have your bunk mates with you. Winnamocka teaches life lessons and skills needed for the outside world. The friends you meet are the friends you keep in touch with. My best friend for 5 years now met at camp. Coming from a camper, I would;t regret sending my kid here. I would know they were in good hands (staff trained with lifeguard training, CPR, and many others) Winnamocka has taught me history, physics, and team building exercises.I absolutely love everything about this camp because it is like a second home to me and thousands more. Keep it up, Winnamocka, I will always be a little Squaw.

My son went to Camp Winnamocka from age 7 to age 14. After the first time, he wanted to go for 2 weeks each year. He is almost 20 years old now and STILL talks about his experiences at camp. When I would pick him up each summer he always had a new sense of confidence and I got to hear about his camp exploits for 5 hours on the drive home! As a parent, I like that the camp is not so big that the children get lost in the crowd, they are not overwhelmed and that the owners and camp leaders know each child by name. I still recommend this to my friends who have little ones.

This camp is truly a one of a kind experience. As a past camper I can say that the weeks I was there were the best of my life, and I wouldn't trade the memories I made or the people I met for the world. It's an extremely well-run camp, and I would recommend it to anyone who is looking for a great time for their kids.

Winnamocka is easily the single greatest camp I have ever had the pleasure of going to. No other place has ever created such a close-knit and friendly environment. Activities such as Color Wars and 007 challenge you personally and your ability to work as a team. Winnamocka inspires its campers to both lead and to humbly serve in a manner that no other place can replicate. The seven years that I came to this camp have easily been considered the best years of my life. Akcomanniway.

The comment below about the camp having no structure and letting the kids do whatever they want is just ridiculous. The staff is incredible and is very interactive with every kid. The entire week is based around planned activities that EVERYONE participates in. The creativeness of the activities is extraordinary. The camp helps kids learn life long skills and strives to improve character of each individual. I have attended Camp Winnamocka for 7 years and can't wait to go back each year. It is truly a magical place where lives are changed for the better. I HIGHLY recommend this camp. See you there!

Camp Winnanocka is truly the best place on earth! I was a camper for five years, a junior counselor and a counselor. I was a very shy little girl when I first started going to Winnanocka and wouldn't adventure out to do anything. After the influence of the wonderful Niki Jackson and Winnamocka staff, I was a fearless social butterfly. Camp taught me responsibility, perseverance, and much more as a camper. I still remember today how I thought I could never be happier than being at camp winnamocka. As a counselor, I was shown I was wrong as a kid. I was just as happy guiding those kiddos and having fun with them as I was as a camper. Winnamocka has been and will always be one of the most important and special places to me. Wouldn't recommend anywhere else!

Having worked with and near this camp for several years I can attest this is one of the neatest places around with lots of exciting attractions. They have some of the nicest staff members of any organization I've worked with. Kids absolutely love this place!

My children love this camp. Someone commented that they don't learn anything here. My kids need down time...fun time. They are learnng every other day. It is time to be a kid and have some fun! BTW they do learn to be free and independent.

Winnamocka encourages team work and good values. The counselors are EXTREMELY nice and fun. They really try to get closer with you over the week. There is a theme dance and a western dance, which are amazing! There are AMAZING attractions including the high ropes course, 2 pools, a party pit, 2 blobs, a lake, and much much more... my personal favorite is the blob. The cabins are very nice. They all have at least one bathroom, bunk beds, and air conditioning. We also get to go tubing on Lake Degray (transported by a very nice bus). At the end of the week, there is the "Ultimate Survivor". That is the cabin that had the most spirit and won bunky the most over the week. I would explain more, but I would quadruple the limit. I LOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOVE Winnamocka... it is going to be my seventh year! :):):):):):):)

I would not recommend this camp. This camp is basically a hang out don't do anything kind of place. If you want your kids to just run around and play, you'll be happy. The organized activities are a joke, you can either show up or not. Kids run around like a free for all. My child learned nothing there. It's just a big play time. Cabins are cramped. Bathrooms are gross! The water where the kids swim is disgusing. I've looked at a lot of camps and this one is below average. Lots of better choices for the money if you want your child to actually "grow" through their camping experience.

The staff works so hard and ensures that the children has an amazing time! The spend each and every second attending to the kids needs and helping these kids grow in character. A great staff will create great children!
