I am the mother of two boys who went to Nominingue starting at age 7. They went every year and became counsellors, the second will continue this year as a counsellor. My eldest son, now 24, just told me the other day that he SO dearly wishes he could return to camp, but he now has a full-time job in investment banking in a large city. I can say, unequivocally, that the boys' summers at Nominingue revived them, enriched their lives, helped to buoy them through the rigours of school in the "off-season" and definitely contributed to shaping them into the wonderful men they are today. Without Nominingue, what would their childhood summers have been like? Nominingue helped them to build confidence through mastering wilderness skills, making quick decisions portaging and paddling, team-work projects, being creative with outdoor cooking and carving wood. Both our boys passed the fire-test and it filled them with pride. We will always be grateful for Nominingue.

I went to Nominingue 31 years ago. It was awesome. This time it was my three sons' time. They cried once, when they had to leave Camp when we picked them up. They could not have enjoyed their stay more. All three boys are very different and the Camp filled each one with an experience they were looking for and made themselves. I was able to see the facilities again and it is what it should be - a Camp. Kitchen/Dining area was clean and food was good and varied. Counselors were nice, helpful, full of energy. From riflery, climbing, swimming, sailing, carving, running games... it has all the things you expect from a Camp. My boys are going again next year for three weeks this time. Thumbs way up.

Had a really bad experience with the management. They are completely indifferent. I DO NOT reccommend this camp.

this is the most awesome camp in the world! I would definitly reccomend it to people who are thinking about going there. The food is also awesome and the people who work in the craft shop there are also really funny and nice. I've been going to the family camp for 5 years and none of them have been bad. The counslers are also GO THERE!!!!

The term 'magical' is the definitive adjective for this camp which is life-changing for those who get caught up in its appeal. The history and traditions of this camp, which date back to the early CPR days, are maintained by the Van Wagner family who have nurtured this outdoor playground and character-building program into one that is second to none. This camp is so genuine, I challenge any camp to come any where close.

Spent some time there during family camp and was blown away. Having worked at other camps I can say I only wish I had known about this place before. Not only would I be honored to work there but I would certainly send my children. This camp is life altering.

Best camp I have ever been to. Started as a camper and eventually went back as Staff. An overall great expirience, and to those who say that the facilities are not up to par, remember that it is an outdoor activity camp which is where the camps priorities are set.

AWESOME camp! Staff very friendly, activities extreme fun, worth the money. The Family Camp program is likely the best we've been to; we go there in a little gathering of friends every year.
