If you had asked me what I thought about MMR say four years ago, the review would not have been postitive. I don't know what drove me to go back. I did and we now have a new camp director. The staff is so focused on making sure that all the girls have fun and are safe. This past summer, the staff was the best it has ever been. If I ever need anyone to talk to I talk to staff memebers. They really care. Because it is a Girl Scout camp, the costs are kept down. They have tabins, cabin frames with canvas sides. Biffy's (Bathroom in Forest for You) are the only bathrooms. Showers are every Saturday and Wednesday, to conserve water and allow more activity time. MMR offers everything from hiking and backpacking to theater camps and spa camps. There is something for everybody. Camping is not only a fun experience but a learning experience as well. The counselors at camp are from all over the US and world. We learn to be accepting of all people and realize cultural differences. I <3 MMR!
