My son went to Rockmont for the second time this year - all around top notch! The counselors/staff are amazing. My son needs help with a medical condition and I could not ask for more when it comes to helping him be independent yet also stay safe. I follow the photo site and could find a picture or more of him every day, which I loved! The property is beautiful and facilities are very well maintained, though still more primitive as I'd expect for a summer camp. The activities are endless though there is still down time to learn to combat a little bit of boredom without a screen. My son, who says "it was fine" about everything comes back jabbering for hours about his time at camp. It brings him out of shell engaging with other boys, and encourages the good within him. This camp teaches a growth mindset, something he can use his whole life. At the end of the session, he always wants to come back. I truly appreciate Camp Rockmont and give them my highest recommendation!

This year will be my son's 3 summer attending Camp Rockmont. He was 8 years old his first summer and has loved it since then. He will be going for 2 weeks this summer and is super excited. The counselors were wonderful, sweet and attentive to my son's needs. He came home very respectful and had a sense of maturity for a then, 8 years old. Go Rockmont!!

My brother and I attended in the 70s and 80s and it was great. My son is now on staff after being a camper for many years and I also have another son who is still a camper. When I picked him up this year the first thing he asked is whether he could go for longer next year. It's not cheap but in the long run this is a wonderful camp and one we feel blessed to have found 40+ years ago and it's only gotten better over the years.

My 15 year old son has been 2 years. This year he will be attending for a month. He is very excited about it. He had a bit of trouble last summer with a couple of the older boys in his cabin. The staff was quick to act with even the director taking a personal interest in changing the situation. My son was immediately taken under many wings and successfully worked through the trouble and grew from the experience. I cannot recommend this camp enough. Your son will be safe, guided and will have a ball!

My son has gone to Rockmont for the last 2 years and cannot wait to return. His counselors have been incredible, well-rounded young men. He has returned each summer, more mature, polite, secure, and ready for adventure. Great place.

Our nine-year-old son attended Rockmont for his first camp experience this summer. From the moment we set foot on the camp, we were treated as if our son were the only child attending. His counselors were right there, helping him get acclamated. The personal attention not only he, but we, his parents, received was second to none. My husband is in a wheelchair, and when I called a few days before to see if the registration facilities were accessible, the staff built a small ramp just for him! Also, everything, was "Yes, ma'am" and Yes, sir". Fabulous counselors! As for our son, he loved the entire week and did not want to leave when we came to pick him up. He told us that the best part of camp "were the relationships and the waterfront." He even continues to get a little teary (in a GOOD WAY!!!) when he talks about his camp experience. We are anxiously awaiting registration for next year!

Wow. Rockmont rocks. You can't not like it! THere are so many fun things and you make great friends, and the counselors are the coolest people on earth. My dad went as the camp Doctor this year (06) and he had gone there forever, so he was legend. But, its really awesome, and the focus on God is great too. Everything about life and God just snaps into focus. If you are a Christian boy, you'd ove this place- if you aren't, this is the funnest p and best place to learn about God. You gotta go!!!!

Rockmont is a great camp for guys to go to during the summer. The campers and staff all form unique bonds, and everyone makes friends and feels very accepted. I went for 5 years as a camper, and this summer was a CIT. It was a great time - Mt Mitchell climb was very challenging (thanks for making us almost run it Riggs). Rockmont is a great place for guys to mature, and meet challenges and goals they set for themselves. A one-of-a-kind experience that all guys should have. The only drawback to Rockmont is its constantly climbing price. As long as you can afford it, however, it is well worth.

Great summer camp. Have been going here for about 7 years now. Now am a counselor. Some of my best friends and definately best memories were made at this camp. Great religious fundamentals, while not being too overly religious. People from all around the world come here. Have had many great summers here i am sure to never forget. Awesome camp.
