The single most influental thing on my life. I would not be the person I am today without Camp Lawrence. My favorite place in the entire world. The friends you make here last a lifetime

My son did this camp 2 years, the first summer he went knowing no one and grew so much from the experience making friends and having a blast and discovering how independent he could be. The counselors were great with the kids.

Fantastic place for boys who love being outside and in the woods. The staff is supportive and kind. The boys can be boys and enjoy being surrounded by the lake and all it has to offer.

Oh, so they have such a good score on here because all the negative scores and comments are removed. Nice. Well, I guess I'll just have to keep posting. I had an awful experience here when I was a teen. The counselors tried forcing me to eat meat, and then called my mom, because they didn't believe I was a vegetarian. My mom was angry and asked if I wanted to be picked up, but I didn't want to leave my friend (who was being forced by her family to go in the first place.) They punished us for being "too loud" at night. My friend was crying about some very serious family issues and I was trying to console her. Even when we explained what happened they said "that's no excuses, rules are rules." Public humiliation was used against a few girls who were unfortunate enough to develop crushes on the male campers. I went here in 2002. If someone you know went here after that and enjoyed it, then maybe things have changed. I would never send any kid of mine here, though.

The Staff is entirely former campers who went through the CIT program, and therefore they are wholly dedicated and fun and know how to make the kids have a great time. It's a loud, goofy, energetic, and extremely creative place. The COLOR WAR (Orange and Grey) was my favorite part, and the olympics. The staff is my favorite aspect of camp. Lots of excellent, funny, intelligent and responsible role models.

Staff had a lot of inside jokes which was really annoying kind of made it seem like camp was more for them as opposed to us
