The camp sucked. They sent my child home injured because she couldn't walk back to her cabin or to any one of the facilities without somebody staying back to help her. The nurse there did nothing to help but told her to sleep it off. Only one counselor was nice to her and actually cared, the rest told my son who went to pick up his sister early that she was just "Homesick" My child is never going back to that camp because they didn't even care for her, and yelled at her when she said she wanted to go home and texted me at 2am because phones aren't allowed so they connect with God better. My child was seriously injured and I only found out through my child who was crying in pain. We ended up going to the hospital, and cancelling our trip for the next week to be with our emotionally and physically traumatized child because of that camp.

I have been attending Camp Whitman for several years and absolutely love it!I cant wait to go back every summer.All of the staff and directors are really nice and well trained. The facilities are excellent.The Main Lodge is big and it has the activity area, the porch, and the kitchen and dining area. outside of the lodge is Main Field were you play games and other activities.For bathroom facilities they have outhouses at each campsite and throughout the camp.There is the shower house that is clean and is the only place that has flushing toilets.There are about 5 cabins in a campsite that each hold 4 people to sleep in and each site has a fire place.The boat house is clean and has lifejackets and paddles to go boating.It also has extra materials incase you forgot them.I like all of the songs and other activities such as boating,campfires,cookouts,the theme activity you chose.I most recently did there CIT program and thought it was excellent and now am excited that I can work there now.

I went to this summer camp every year from the time I was 7 until I was about 13. I saw my first solar eclipse there on the hill off the main lodge, by the lake. I love Camp Whitman. I couldn't wait to go there every summer. My grandmother was the director for a couple of years while I went there. I am 30 now, it must be a good camp if it stuck around so long! Do they still have those "hogans"?

everything clean. most counselors were wonderful. food was wonderful! director not very outreaching. banana boating rules. wish there was more drama offered. need camp songs. kitchen staff great. my children raved about the food. property guy was so helpful. need a younger director with enthusiasm.
