At camp Farmington valley, the counselors are children themselves. They do not let parents know about field trips, just go. I should know where my kid is. The swimming program is poor - my daughter had a week of swim "lessons" in a life vest that forced her upright. I cannot get an update on swimming. The family night is a parent bashing session.

It was a small camp that I liked. There were really nice and fun young counselors. It was at the YMCA so half indoors which is nice during the summer. We still got to go outside and play sports. Every session was themed and it was really fun. There were 2 field trips per week. My favorite was to a minor leauge baseball game. Older kids got to go to lounge with pool table, TV, air hockey, magazines, and computers. I loved the rock climbing. The worst part was the indoor pool. It was to hot.
