My son got quite sick at the very beginning of camp in 2010 and was unable to attend. I reached out to Patty, camp owner/manager, who never returned my calls or e-mails. She also refused to refund my money or put it towards a 2011 session. No compassion whatsoever for my son or the health situation.

It's a good camp if your child has nothing else to do for the summer. Swim lessons are great, arts and crafts are ok, the overnight hikes are pretty good, and the counselors often need to be more well educated in "wilderness survival" (the burning of poison oak is something I strongly remember). The counselors tend to befriend some kids more than others, and the kids tend to form cliques rather quickly. Somewhat expensive, but often worth the money. Sign your kid up for one session before sending them for the whole summer. Some kids love it, others not so much. And listen to your child about it. If they hate it, don't make them go back for another session. They WON'T grow to like it if they don't already.
