My 12 year old daughter went here for a camp for children with Type 1 diabetes. She had a wonderful experience. The staff was knowledgable and I felt comfortable leaving my child there even though she requires insulin 4 times a day. I thought the facilities were very nice and well maintained.

Though they didn't give me much personal attention, I felt entertained. Though I only went to the day camp, the sleeping faclities looked clean from the outside. This camp is not a good camp for little kids, but for (as much as I hate this word) tweens. They give enough supervision to keep us safe but not too much.

I also comment on the first rating. They say safty is there no. 1 goal. I got a cold because they made us stand in the rain. And I had a rusty nail go into my heel because nobody bothered to pull it out around the spot in the barn where you have to go bare foot. I wouldn't bo back for free. DO NOT GO HERE.

I only want to comment on the previous review which was simply an ad promoting this camp. Our more limited experience with this facility was uniformly negative. Check it out carefully and note the age and attitude of the so called instructors.

As both a past camper and current staff member of the Equestrian Camp branch of CB, I think they offer a great program. The equestrian staff are great teachers and the focus is on less-experienced riders but we can challenge anyone who has a love for learning to ride. The horses are some of the sweetest, most well behaved horses I have ever met and safety is NUMBER ONE, which is important around such large animals. Food is typical camp food, but there is usually a salad bar at lunch as well as other vegetarian options and a "snack shack" for those who are even pickier. The campus is on a large piece of land that is in its own little woods so there is a lot of beautiful trails for walking and trail riding. I highly recommend CB especially if you have a little camper who may be nervous about riding. We have the knowledge and ability to give them a positive first, tenth or 10000th experience with horses. There are a wide variety of camps both day and overnight. Check us out!
