Click to report rating    4/24/10   4     3     4     4     5   I went to Koinonia in the 70s and have such fond memories. It was very rustic. I was in the "Indian"group and we slept in a giant teepee. Nothing fancy about this camp, but there was lots of warmth and kindness and activities that required team work. I loved being one with nature and being in the wilderness. It was very spiritual, and I wasn't religious, but I kind of liked the spirtual aspect of it. Lots of singing and saying Grace before meals. Nice kids. Down to earth place. RID: 32641
Click to report rating    2/24/08   5     1     5     2     2   I RECOMMEND FROST VALLEY! I've been to that camp 7 times, no joke. Everytime I go there, i get sick and sad. I dont miss home, its just that place. It gives people a bad impression sometimes. They treat 9 and under like babies and 10 or older like grown ups. Its not fair sometimes. The coucelers are the best. The cabins have no windows and no insulation and no walls, just screens. You may not believe it either but there ARE RATTLE SNAKES THERE! SOMETIMES IN THE CABINS! the lake, for some reason, gets seaweed every seven years. Meeting new people is fun and sometimes they are from other countries. The activities are great too but they push you into things sometimes. RID: 20646
