    | | 7/15/19 | 1 | 3 | 2 | 2 | 1 | My children have gone to this camp for a few summers in a row. It's not my favorite, but we keep choosing it because it's one of the very few day camps in the area that covers the whole summer. Most only run for a week or two or one month. This camp also has generous hours, with free after-hours care and an early drop-off option. It's ideal for working parents. However, the cons are too many for me to recommend it. Its two biggest problems are staff and facility. Counselors are too young, with the starting age fourteen. The youngest counselors work with the youngest campers, but I believe they're too young to have this much responsibility. This camp is mostly outdoors, which means kids get extremely hot on some days and, when it pours rain, as it does often in the summer, campers have few options. They're packed into the ballroom and sat in front of a movie, given games, and God-knows-what-else. I feel sorry for the kids (who can be very clique-ish). The campers deserve better. | |

    | | 12/31/07 | 5 | 5 | 5 | 5 | 5 | Padonia Camp is the best camp I have ever gone to. I switched to it after going to the WORST camp around MD, Camp Bravo. Padonia was a paradise. You do all sorts of great things - hang out in the early morning, swimming lessons, athletics, EE (environmental experience), music, free swim, and so much more. Every week is themed and you even have field trips. I went to this camp every year until I was too old - that year, I began to work here. I now am a counselor at Padonia and I absolutely love it. | | | |
