Hmm. Great facilities for the staff. The climbing wall and adventure outfitter are great, and the new shooting sports is awesome (BIG BERM!). But there is just a river and a puny waterfront. This camp has definitely taken some steps in the right direction the last few years, but the camp director and program director are quite difficult to work with. (a little campy-pun!- and not quite as intelligent of people as they seem to think they are...). The staff doesn't seem to want to be there and are a bit full of themselves. This is not the place for a first year scout, because their advancement, handicraft, outdoor skills, and nature departments are all severely lacking. However, it's a fun place to go for their high adventure trips...that are outfitted there and leave the property. (The high adventure staff is AWESOME!!!) Honestly I think it needs some new management. (oh, a scout physically fit...just saying...some staff members aren't...)

Staff was Knowledgeable and Entertaining. Cooking is done in campsites and can be a huge hassle. Activities were sometimes fun, but some a little out there and not quite fun. Staff did give troops personal attention, however in the end, overall value is average (3).
