I totally agree that this was a camp that was supposed to be fun, no parental involvement so, hopefully, no "favorites". Boy was I wrong! My son is a JOCK and was looking forward to the camp. Instead he really did not come away with any improvement in his skills and, once again, kids that should have been rewarded for their ability and good sportsmanship were passed over to other campers (and their parents) who were either related/ friends/cronies to the adults running the camp. Very disappointing experience overall, not worth the travel or cost. One good thing I guess is that he no longer dreams of attending Georgetown University and playing basketball there which will save us much more money in the long run! In the good name of the great former COACH JOHN THOMPSON get it together guys you're supposed to be there for the kids!

I have a son who lives for basketball and is GOOD (if I don't say so myself). He went down and, although it was okay, it was not a super instructional camp (he could have scrimmaged close to home instead of a 4 hour away drive!) Maybe too many campers attending and not enough personnel, and at the end of this $500+ cost (sleep away camp) the "awards" given out were a joke! Yet another place that does not really reward enthusiastic kids for their skill but hands out trophies to kids who are related/friends of the people running it. Very disappointing!!Don't think this could have happened back in the day with the original Coach Thompson. Parents be aware!

it was a great camp that i had a lot of fun at. Although all the kids there are CRAZY BALLERS its still a alot of fun. The food is great, the gym is very nice, and the dorm rooms are very nice. The only thing i didnt like about this camp was walking all the way up to yates fieldhouse. That was like a mile away!!!. But, watch out for Searge and youll be fine at this camp.
