4/8/21   5     5     5     5     5   I have two teenage daughters and they have both attended the camps and weekend retreats. I have nothing but great things to say. Tim Jordan is wonderful and the staff is very caring. My girls have learned how to navigate through peer relationships, family relationships, and have been taught tools to advocate for themselves. I would have loved to have gone to a camp like this when I was a girl. They also do fun, outdoor activities and have traditional camp fun too! I highly recommend Camp Weloki! RID: 53373

The staff singled out my high-functioning autistic daughter, made her explain to the entire camp why she did not want to participate in a messy activity, and told her that she could not have ice cream with everyone else if she did not participate (she found out later that there was no ice cream). She came home with a large splinter in her hand that the camp staff told her to ignore and let come out on its own. Also, they forced all the girls to participate in some sort of purification ritual, nearly burning my daughter with an incense stick. Camp facilities were decent (no A/C, but it's camp), but everything else was a big disappointment. RID: 51759
