The camp is very good in general but this will be the last year I send my daughters to this camp. There are some non kosher rumors about a director and a counselor. This is supposed to be a frum camp. I will need to weigh other options.

I wanted to go to this camp for so long but they were sold out by December!! that just goes to show how fast the spots fill up!! I went for 2 years after that. unfortunately I went when I was older so I grew out of it after that. I've been to other sleep away camps before and I didn't like them. its not too modern and not to frum i personally think. there are all types of girls. I had an amazing time in dina and I recommend it to anyone! best summer ever!

This is our daughter's first summer at sleep away camp. The no-live-communication policy makes the firt week excruciating. Then visiting day we find a small campground and activities in smallish rooms like cooking and arts and pilates. I gotta say that everyone says the food is good- but there's no calorie burning! OMG! The counselor and JC seemed uninterested and they have 20 girls crammed in a single bunk house! My daughter who is extremely positive was simply dazed and lost. The higher staff were handling almost 400 girls (!!!) in this little property- they have no way to know girls individually. Overall, the director is a salesman that will say anything and the camp is a high volume, un-warm factory. Sorry to say this about a frum camp but you need to know what it really is. We are simply sad that this is our daughter's first experience. And we did so much homework and so many phone calls! To be honest, we feel a little "had".

This camp is amazing!! Yes it is on the more modern side, but that just makes it not snobby. Obviously you are going to find a few, but honestly nobody cares how your dressed or if you have a name brand or anything. The entire staff is warm and caring and they really care about you. There is a mix of girls so it makes you more open minded. Being more on the modern side is just one con in so many pros. Thank you to the entire warm staff of camp dina!!!

the staff was pretty good, although i didnt really like the campus- the new camp is supposed to be amazing though. i think that there were too many sports, and most of the girls sat out during those activities- many girls are not sporty- arts and crafts was definantly a favorite when it comes to activities, as well as ZUMBA, and culinary arts. i think that for the older bunks, the themes of the day activities were a little young. there were around 12 per bunk with 2 councelors. in my opinion, the camp i basic modern orthodox, their all shomer shabos, and go to jewish schools, but are still involved in a lot of gashmiyus. basicly day school kids go their- dont go if your bais yaakov type- youll feel pressured to take off your socks, skip davening, even eat dairy after only 4 hours, wear untznius things, talk about goyishe and innapropriate things, and hear bad language. im not trying to make the camp seem bad- its an awesome camp, but its just not for the religious type. good luck!

Not such a a wonderful camp. I heard the staff changed after summer of 2006 when I was there, since they didn't give the money back or something. I was there as a waitress, and way back since going into 8th grade. I'll say the first year was great, I guess because I was young then. They get stricter on the girls when you are a staff member. It was dying of the heat in socks as a staff member. I agree with the person commenting that the camp is a bit right winged. I think the camp was a bit lacking in trips. They took the kids on very few trips. Activities were good and he food was less than average. The camp's campers were more modern than their staff members. Very small percentage is not religious. I did not like how I was treated because I simply wore black. The waitress heads and boss were too favorable to others until the very end of my stay. I think the head staff at that time was very fake, but especially on visiting day. Overall, not the best camp to go to.
