Click to report rating    7/14/08   4     3     5     4     4   I went to this camp as my first time to sleepaway camp 5 years ago and i was 9 years old. I hated it during the summer but for sometime couldnt wait to go back. It was because no matter how mean and ****y the girls were i missed them and i had a lot of fun. If you are fat and lazy DONT GO TO THIS CAMP!!! I really can't emphisize enough how active this camp is. I went to this a camp an overweight kid but i was determind and camp back home 40 lbs. lighter. Unfortunately as the years pass the camp is failing and less and less people are going back. Save this camp because it really was my summer camp. And sadly i wont be returning but i enjoyed my 4 years there and the people that still attend it are having the summer or there lives and getting great tans from their daily visits to the pool...HAVE FUN THERE AND ENJOY...p.s. u should really go! Click to report rating    3/27/08   3     3     3     4     3   I was part of the staff. I have to say although I left early for personal reasons, its not that bad.. the campers seemed to have a good time, very "clicky" though. A few of the campers were picked on very bad. Not great supervision, but better than many other camps. Food was not that great, but there was always PB& Jelly for campers who were picky eaters. The head staff is very rude to other staff, but this does not affect the campers. If you are looking for a nice jewish camp, I would reccomend this ONLY if your child is very outgoing and can adapt quickly to new social situations. RID: 21674
Click to report rating    1/11/08   2     1     2     1     1   I hated this dump! I am never going back ther again, it is sooooo small. And all the people there are SOOO mean. The only people that get treated fairly are the people that work there RID: 18846
Click to report rating    8/30/07   2     2     3     1     2   Some girl smashed me in the head with some chocolate pudding and it did not taste good. The kids are **** even though it is a jewish camp. and then another girl lifted up my shirt while i was talking to a cute guy. and in the showers some staff member put a beetle on me while i was taking a shower. how rude. look this camp does not welcom newcomers. Click to report rating    7/9/07   3     3     3     1     1   Wow, it is a decent camp and the staff are okay, but the campers are MEAN!!!! They harassed me on a daily basis to the point where I was forced to leave after just 2 weeks instead of 8. RID: 12848
Click to report rating    6/19/07   5     3     4     5     5   Eddie I is a wonderful place to send your kids and to spend your summer. I spent a total of 12 summers at camp and I loved every moment of it. Yes the camp is small but the attention is wonderful... you meet everyone and make friendships outside of your age group. For the people who did not enjoy their time at Eddie I, I feel bad for them, they truly missed out. There are sports, drama, arts and crafts, swimming, nature, ropes course and more activities to ensure that every child has an amazing summer!!! Eddie I is definently a campers camp so if you are looking for a "resort camp" this is not the place for you! RID: 12219

Click to report rating    1/29/07   3     1     2     1     1   I agree that new people to this camp are not welcomed with open arms. I worked at Eddie I for one summer and did not come back b/c of this. Several campers complained about not doing anything but sports and that they would not want to return. Its only good if you started there as a Ruth/Moses camper and stayed forever! RID: 7351
Click to report rating    1/9/07   2     3     2     2     2   can you say NOT MY SUMMER HOME?! newcomers are shunted to the side, it is in reality almost solely a sports camp, and it does not ever feel like home . . . . you can survive, but there will be no good memories... RID: 6621
