My daughters have been going to this camp for 5 years. I am so sad that they have outgrown day camp. The Torenheims have treated them with such care and concern. They learned a great deal about Judaism. The food is great. They learned to swim well. There is NEVER any drama among the kids. Every child is expected to treat every other child with respect. There is no cliquishness. Every day they came home happy and tired. All that you want from a camp. I can't say enough good things.

This camp is simply fantastic! The activities are fun, professional & geared towards the individual child. Instructional swim is provided daily, in addition to weekly field trips to local venues that offer educational and really fun enjoyment for all ages! Lunch, snacks & transportation is all INCLUDED! There is ABSOLUTELY NO OTHER camp that gives you the professional care & programming, dedicated caring staff & action-packed activities anywhere near Mishkan! This is TRULY..."The ONLY place to be in Fairfield County"!

Highly recommend! This is absolutely great camp. Kids love it. The staff is caring and attentive. The prices are more than reasonable. My son enjoyed it for many summers.

Mishkan Israel is definitely a wonderful value. The people who run it Rabbi and Mrs. Y. Torenheim are truly loving and caring and committed to bringing a Jewish summer camp experience to the community (they do outreach to the Russian-speaking families)regardless of ability to pay. This is a terrific camp for children, but bear in mind that the camp has no real "facilities" and travels to different activities and venues (i.e. for swimming)throughout Fairfield and Westchester County so for the young child who craves structure this might not be the best choice. All in all, a safe and nurturing environment with some memorable activities.

Excellent day camp for young jewish campers. Lunch is included and swimming daily. Day trips in Fairfield county. Campers come from Westchester,Stamford, Wilton, Norwalk, Westport, Fairfield, Trumbull. Transporation provided. Great indoor and outdoor facility and small staff to camper ratio. Very inexpensive. A great value compared to the JCC.
