Camp kern is the best place in the world. It is a second home to me. The counselors are family. The many different things, from zip lining to horse riding to canoeing to gaga. The facilities are clean and well kept. Kern is currently undergoing huge renovations that will fix up older buildings and has recently added many new buildings. The summer camps are spectacular; there truly is camp magic present. Other activities, like weekend camps, are as amazing as is possible given the time limits. The only kids I have seen that didn't like it were kids that had trouble interacting with others (maybe they had a bad habit of cheating, lying, etc. that others didn't like, or had trouble losing, or some other similar things) or kids that were homesick. If homesickness is the issue, maybe consider a shorter stay at camp. All in all, everyone has something special to discover at camp, even the two groups already mentioned. Kern is indeed perfection.

Amazing, Kern has many good things. The staff works hard and works well with the campers !
