Family owned and operated and it shows. My 4 and 7 year old are thriving at camp. So many activities, a lot of personal attention, wonderful grounds, caring team. Thank you is not enough.

Parent of a Hillcroft child in 3rd year at this camp. OK experience so far, not stellar but not great. We continue because its the only traditional day camp within driving distance. Real problem with camp is focus on rules rather than experience. They seem to value teaching campers the hard lessons of life (like if you make a mistake signing up, etc., you have to face consequences) rather than providing growth experiences for the kids. I sound like a helicopter parent, but I think they go out of their way to tell kids "no." I would recommend finding another camp if you can.

My children have been attending for the last 4 years and are extremely happy at Hillcroft. A large percentage of the staff were campers themselves and most staff return year after year. It is really the only traditional day camp in Dutchess County. Kids are extremely safe and I never worry about them.

The staff and personal attention are very good, much attention is paid to details, however the facilities are a throwback from the 1930's-1950's and have not really been upgraded since then. The counselor bunks are miserable.

This is a good day camp because of the staff and the veriaty of the activities.
