I am glad to have the opportunity of recommending HorseAbility Summer Day Camp, usually the last week of August. HorseAbility runs a year-round therapeutic horseback riding and hippotherapy program for all ages and all disabilities, also highly recommended. My son, Joe, who is autistic, has been riding since he was 5, now 13, and rides independently, including cantering and jumping (he has no physical limitations). The week-long camp has a very high ratio of highly trained aides/instructors/volunteers to students and offers riding, arts & crafts, swimming, computers and other activities depending upon each student's abilities. Students' classifications include developmental, physical, and learning disabilities. The setting is lovely and quite safe. I can't recommend it highly enough, plus I would also recommend riding year-round. The staff are wonderful. I would be happy to answer any specific questions.
