This camp is not worth the money. I know campers at this camp have been largely dissatisfied with its performance. There was often not enough food for the campers and the activities spaces were pressed for time. Overall terrible camp.

my daughter was over all not satisfied with this camp. she said that the program she was in prohibited them from showering at leisure. she also mentioned that the food was not appealing to her senses, she is lactose intolerant and allergic to them nuts and all she was given on pizza night was crust with no toppings that seems like regular bread i didn't pay 788 dollars to have my daughter starve.

Daughter just got back from Sugar pine to less than stellar review. A counselor took away their ability to do their skit on the last campfire, an hour before as ther group wasn't getting along because of one girl. A counselor didn't step in and stop the behavior issues other than to force the girls into 45 minutes of quiet time in the cabin. The group only got one shower the whole week due to "scheduling" conflicts.

What a disappointment. I went to girls scout camp as a girl so all my expectations were high since my memories of camp were great. My daughter came back stating there were few activities for Little Bits, interaction with counselors was minimal, in 6 days they only got to swim once, horseback riding was short, no hiking, river walks etc. She came back also absolutely FILTHY. She said they were only allowed 2 "3 minute" showers each for the 6 day period. She said she heard cursing between counselors, poor manners and demeanor. She said the food was horrible and never got the care package we delivered. She did have some allergy reactions that the attending nurse was helpful. Unfortunately, it wasn't a great experience and she didn't get the rich traditions and culture of Girl Scout history .

I sent my daughter to this camp last summer, and I never will again. It is staffed by people with mental health problems. We had to pick our daughter up early, because she was upset after her counselor had a nervous breakdown on the way to a field trip on a mountain road. The counselor was driving the car when she had the btekdown! A friend whose daughter also attended the camp said the head cook was fired, because the kitchen was unsanitary. The life guard was also having nervous breakdowns. When I complained, the director of the camp was not very interested- she seemed mentally unbalanced as well. Never again will my daughter go to a Girl Scout camp.

This camp is a great place for young girls to grow up. Supportive staff combined with fun programs creates an environment for personal growth. The camp itself is beautiful, located in the mountains about 4 hours away from San Fran.

Camp Sugar Pine ia a traditional Girl Scout camp with horse back riding and high adventure programs such as caving, rappelling, outdoor rock climbing, and the Adventure Tower. Girls get the chance to do many other activities such as: outdoor cooking, night hikes, nature, arts and crafts, archery, and swimming. They learn independence, build self esteem and are left with an incredible sense of accomplishment. Sugar Pine builds life-long friendships and lasting memories. There are great caring staff and wonderful girls that return summer after summer to visit the magic at Sugar Pine.
