Used to love, but can not recommend anymore. My kids have attended this camp for years but it has been in a steady decline. Yes they have huge bedbug problem. This is real. They have a machine to kill them but it doesn’t work. The camp grounds and the buildings are now unkept. Weeds growing on the roof. The camp was never fancy and we liked it that way but it’s just deteriorated. What always made this camp great in the past were the counsellors. But they have trouble attracting and keeping counsellors like the bright creative fun types they used to bring in and keep! The counsellors now seem a bit more like social outcasts (sneak VAPING in front of my kids during outdoor cooking!) The good counsellors are leaving bc the director has become way too ridged, and demands same of counsellors. Now camper experience is ridged. This camp was never about bells and whistles. In the past it always about amazing counsellors enriching campers lives. Sad to say my youngest will not go:/

I love this camp. I have gone for 3 years and cannot wait to have more amazing summers at the place I am happiest, my true home. The staff cares about all campers whether they know them or not. My first summer I got a little homesick and many counselors made sure I was okay and whenever someone is having a hard time with homesickness or other campers the staff works hard to make things better, but they also know how to be super fun. I love being outside surrounded by beautiful nature and the facilities are taken care of well. You have good options for activities and whole camp activities are really inclusive and are always in some way fun. Every year I become very close with other campers and counselors, who I look up. Every year when I get home I miss camp, and I come home with amazing memories, and I'm a more confident and understanding person. Woodstock is the best!

Fun activities for the kids however they are infested with bedbugs. The worst part is that they know and didn’t tell the parents. Didn’t find out until my child had to go to the local clinic and got prescribed steroids as it was so severe. Dr at the clinic said he’s seen lots of kids this summer from the camp with bedbug bites. Gross negligence. How can you trust the organization after something like that. Poorly handled by the director and corporate.

I believe my daughter has spent 5 wonderful summers at Camp Woodstock. I am so sorry that a few campers were so disappointed. Camp Woodstock has been a saving grace for my daughter who struggles with the social drama of high school. When we drive onto the campgrounds she immediately turns off her phone and hands it to me (except this past year when she stayed 3 weeks and was permitted to call me on change over day)She LOVES to be unplugged and has made some lifelong friends. The activities are plentiful, she loves the food (and this is coming from a picky eater. At closing ceremonies she cries her way through it at the thought of leaving. This year she's applying to the LIT program. Fingers crossed that shes accepted. They have a wonderful scholarship program for those who need it. Thank you Camp Woodstock for being the bright spot in her summer!

I love this camp, and I love coming back to it every single summer. The staff is excellent, and the food is well. Every time I go to camp I meet new people, and it's a wonderful experience that I would recommend to everybody.

My daughter started going to this camp when she was 9 and my son started when he was 8. They've gone each and every year since. This summer will be my daughter's 9th year and my son's 7th! Each year, I've watched them grow more confident, more responsible, and more mature because of the great camp experience they have had. The CHoRR values are truly alive (Caring, Honesty, Respect, Responsibility) and are modeled by the staff as well as the campers. This is a camp that truly develops their mind, body and spirit. My daughter will be a junior counselor this year. She went through their Leader-in-Training (LIT) program, their Counselor-in-Training program (CIT). She says next to home, she's happiest at camp and that the LIT year was one of the best experiences of her life -- challenging, reflective and overall wonderful. My son looks forward to it next year, provided he is accepted. I cannot recommend this camp enough!!!

This camp needs intervention. The staff is inattentive, kids are bullied, the counselors (with a few exceptions) are busy chatting with each other, and the faciilities are tired. The credo of respect, responsibility, etc. is ignored. My daughter was bullied last year but went back this year. Her sibling had a horrible time and was bullied to the point of other campers yelling at the uninterested counselors to DO SOMETHING. I hate to write negative reviews but spend your money elsewhere. The letters I got from my kids were horrendous and despite contacting the camp, nothing was effectively done to stop the nastiness of the other campers towards one of our children. My child was shoved to the ground and this was witnessed by other. Other campers swore at various kids in their native tongue, which both of my kids speak. Overall, a horrible experience. Sorry but please heed my words, parents, and don't send your kids here if they are kind and refuse to be nasty back.

It is great. The counselors really love being there and help the kids come out of their shells. There are tons of activities to choose from and you can switch after a week if you don't like them, or earlier if you really dislike it. The counselors are great and work really hard to help everyone get along. I love Camp Woodstock!

This camp is terribly kept and they force you to do activites. If you don't have any friends the counslers wont egnolage it and talk amongst themselves. There are very few activites that are not good this camp is terrible!!
